This hotel is expensive – due to the fact that it’s located inside the Grand Canyon. There’s nothing to do outside after dark, and there’s no reception at all on the reservoir, so you might prefer to sleep outside the park. Otherwise, it’s amazing to wake up to this amazing wander.

We are a family of five and most of our bookings have been one room for us and another for our kids. This time I decided to book the Yavapai East Double Queen family room as it looked perfect. For a moderate price the accommodation was excellent, breakfast was included for all of us - more than we could finish...

Yavapai Lodge sits a ten minute walk from the rim of the Grand Canyon. That's why we choose it. Lodge itself was probably built in the 1950's. Buildings look very at home in the woods. Room was functional not fancy. But we came for the view and the location was great.

I stayed here recently for 3 nights. The room was a good size. It wasn't air conditioned but that didn't matter at that time of year. The location is good, less than a mile from rim.The restaurant has a limited number of options for dinner, and a reasonable number of options for breakfast, with reasonable prices for meals. I'd probably...

Stayed in the Yavapai Lodge on May 4 & 5. Arrived in the Grand Canyon park and on way to lodge, saw several elk along the road and in the areas of the lodge. Staff, restaurant, food and setting were outstanding. The actual room at the lodge definitely had a summer camp feel to it. Pretty basic, but that is...

The recently renovated (by Delaware North) Yavapai Lodge in Grand Canyon is severely lacking in ADA knowledge. The room had a terrible bathroom with a non-usable shower for both disabled and non-disabled people. Anytime anyone is in the shower, it floods out the entire bathroom. They also had no extension cords or power strip for power chair individuals.

There's nothing special about this hotel but the rooms are clean and nice and you can't beat the location. We were in the newer east wing. Beds were comfortable and we got a good sleep. Easy to find parking.

We stayed for two nights in one of the East rooms. The buildings were scattered in a wooded setting with elk and other critters roaming around. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, well equipped with all you could want, always excepting internet access. The latter free wifi could be found at the nearby main lodge building. Shuttles were convenient....

There was nothing wrong with the Yavapai, but it was the only hotel left in the park with vacancy when I booked ten months in advance. The room was spacious and there was parking right out front. It is wildly overpriced, but that's to be expected staying in the park. The room was clean, but in need of renovations.

We stayed for one night in an East room. The biggest benefit to this hotel is being in the park. We liked being close to the Rim and hiking trails, but enjoyed staying not so close to El Tovar or the other lodges that get very busy. It was easy to find parking and in a relatively quiet area. The...
