Can't beat the location, which is what you are paying for with this lodge. Close proximity to the rim, and close to the food court. We were able to get pre made sandwiches at the food court for our hike down the Canyon, which was a plus. Also enjoyed watching basketball games in the evening at the Pizza Pub. We...

Not as good as Bright Angel and Yavapai in terms of location but since those didn't have availability we settled for Maswik. It was fine. Rooms were quite run down and threadbare but the location was awesome. We saw elk outside our room in the morning which was really cool. We ate at the pizza bar and it was crowded...

Maswik Lodge is not on the canyon but a short walk to the south rim. The room is super clean and spacious. Two beds, hot water, Coffee maker, cable TV, and a patio door make this a really comfortable place to stay. A MOOSE greeted us on the back patio in the morning! Where else can you experience that!

The Maswik Lodge is a short walk from the Grand Canyon's South Rim, and that's about the best you can say about it. You can't see the rim from the lodge, and the whole place is run like the giant tourism operation that it is. The rooms are okay, but dated, nothing really to complain about, but nothing to feel...

We arrived in Maswik Lodge almost midnight, had difficulty locating out building. We saw deer roaming around. Room is quiet, toiletries provided! Good heater on a cold/breezy april month. Short sleep but woke up well rested and a short walk to the Canyon views. Worth the trip!

This lodge is a 5-10 minute walk to the Rim but a good choice at the canyon. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. In hotel restaurant and bar but very casual dining. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bus stop out front to othe rparts of park, parking not too bad

We got a room down in Maswik South which has no wifi, but it was clean and tidy and well set-up. No problems. The price was good, which is important, and of course the main thing is that it's close to the Canyon. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the food is what you'd expect in a low-price place...

Stayed there for one night during our visit to GC. For sure it is not a 4 star hotel, but it is best for enough for 4 people, clean and with beet of all 5 minutes walk from the rim. A small fridge makes sure you have cool water for your hikes.

For the price and service, we'd rather stay here than Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, (our 2nd night accommodation). No A/C? Who needs A/C when you are on 7,000+ ft elevation in April. I was able to take a shower comfortably with the heater on in the bathroom. I requested a baby crib, it's right here waiting for us when we...

The accommodations are basic. But the thing you look for in lodging inside a national park is location. In particular, with parking being a huge issue at Grand Canyon, this was a great option. Walkable distance to Rim trail and Trail descending down. Shuttle bus stop at the lodge. The breakfast at Maswik food court was the best we've had...
