A peaceful and breathtaking place. We had a cabin with a partial view of the canyon, and the view from our porch in the morning was incredible. The cabins are more spacious and modern inside than their exterior makes them appear, and I loved being able to sit in the rocking chair in front with a drink and a book....

Well worth the long drive - much more intimate than the South Rim. Glad that we had a "motel" room facing the back and the trees. No noise and much bigger than the tiny cabins. Very basic accommodations but you are not here for luxury! Booked a year in advance. Surprisingly very good cuisine in the beautiful dining room -...

We stayed at the North Rim Lodge in May of 2016. The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is an out of the way part of the Grand Canyon that few first time visitors would venture to see. By car it is a bit over 200 miles and takes roughly 4 hours to drive, depending on your speed and number...

When my family went, it was so cosy and luxurious. If you love your family and you want a good nights sleep, well this is the greatest place for you. When the sun rises over the Canyon and you need to pester your kids to get up, they will automatically get up from a recharge as well as for the...

Wonderful views, reasonable lunch prices available in the open, airy dining room. nice shop and busy but not crowded. We only stopped in for lunch and photographs but enjoyed ourselves. The lodge is rustic and clean. The food was good, the choices were unique, with local flavor.

North Rim is very different from South Rim and, as such, well worth the visit. The views are spectacular (of course) and don't miss the night sky if it is clear. We have travelled a lot but have never seen the Milky Way like that. The whole experience is a bit over-priced (of course) but this is America, where money...

We had a quality stay at the north rim. The cabin’s rustic charm makes you feel much closer to wilderness than the south rim. The elevation is also higher than the south rim. At 8,300ft, some people might have difficulty sleeping at night due to high altitude effect but we had virtually no trouble. Sleep quality is pretty good. At...

The North Rim is so different than the South Rim! It was well worth the drive. The views were breathtaking! The pace is much slower and it's much quieter up here. Nice to be away from the crowds and be able to just take in the scenery. On our drive in and out the next day, we saw a coyote,...

We stayed in the Camp Ground in the group camping area. There was 10 in our group. We enjoyed touring the park by car and hiking a few trails. We enjoyed dining in the Lodge very much. $ of us ate in the more Formal Dining Restaurant, others ate in the buffet, others tried the pizza. Ones who had pizza...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The more remote North Rim offers up its beauty and solitude to those willing to make a little longer trek to cooler temperatures and greener vegetation of the Grand Canyon's less visited rim. Time means little here in this Nirvana for nature lovers…abundant forest beauty and wrap-around scenic splendor as sheer walls hold in the Colorado River a mile below. The only developed lodging within the National Park’s North Rim boundaries this historic treasure has cabins and lodging tucked into the trees and dotting the canyon edge. The historic dining room with wall to ceiling windows gives diners the unique opportunity to take in the Canyon's views and tasteful regional and sustainable delights for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations are recommended. For guests seeking a unique remembrance of their visit to this special place, there is a gift store and convenience store located at the North Rim. Authentic Native American handcrafts, jewelry and merchandise that is U.S.A. made by local and regional artists provide an array of gift items for guests to the Grand Canyon. Smell the pines, listen to the fluttering leaves of quaking aspen, and keep an eye out for a California condor, the largest bird in North America.
