So we stayed 3 nights at Mather at site 226 because of recommendations I read from other travelers, but to be honest I was a little disappointed. Reviews made me expect this site to be great, but we had neighbors close to the right and the forest behind the site is sparse so it felt like being in a field....

We just got back yesterday and had an amazing time! I'm not sure what I was expecting but when you get to the Grand Canyon there is an entire village there: store, post office, ATM, hotels and restaurants. I guess I thought it would be campgrounds and the cliff but nope you can get anything you forgot about at the...

We stayed one night at Mather before heading down to Bright Angel Campground the next morning. Sites were large with several trees and a large table and fire pit. We stayed at site 242. It was close to the bathroom but spacious enough to camp with some friends and have some privacy. Bathrooms were clean and well lit. The ravens...

We went to the Grand Canyon on a whim after spending several days backpacking in Zion. It was well worth the side trip, but we never thought we would get a campsite because by the time we rolled into Mather Campground it was already around 5:00pm, and a Friday night. However, we lucked out and they had a tent site...

This Camp Ground is situated at the South Rim and close to the Trails down the Canyon. It is very nice and you can have Camp Fire without Permission. Close nearby is restaurants and Supermarked + Showers. Highly recommend

Stayed here for a couple of nights in September whilst visiting the Grand Canyon. Lovely location for a campground, everything in a close walk and bus services running frequently. Nice and clean areas and just love seeing all the animals walking around!

Now GCNP is one of the most visited and NP in the US and one of well maintained one too. Mather campground is one of the many in-park amenities and very well maintained too. I had not done any camping before let alone pitched a tent, so it was a challenging at first but turned out to be just fine....

We stayed in site 297 in Pine Loop in Oct 2016. We stayed for5 nights. This loop is generator free so it was nice and quite during the day and night. The campsite has a nice sized fire ring and picnic table. We were able to walk to the bus stop using the trails. it was nice not having to...

If you're looking for once in a lifetime experiences, you've come to the right place. I was adamant about camping at first, it being my first time. I can honestly say choosing Mather Campground to be my first will never be something I regret. One thing I wish I would have known however, is that it actually rains at the...
