Phantom Ranch is a true oasis at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and a must visit for those able and willing to make the long trek to the bottom. We waited three years to get a cabin fro their famous Thanksgiving Dinner and it was worth the wait. This is truly a special place and gives you the time...

Steak Dinner was fantastic Very nice comfortable beds and rooms. We were there in winter and still very warm in room. The creek right by the cottages is very pretty, nice little hike to the river. We took the mules down, separate review.

After along hike down from the south rim, the ranch is a welcomed sight. There are several small cabins and dorm style small cabins. The main building serves as the trading post, dinning hall, game room and beer hall. The cabins have flushing toilets and cold running water. The shower house has hot water and fresh towels. The water pressure...

There is no place on Earth like the bottom of the Grand Canyon and I am privileged to have stayed once again at Phantom Ranch. The staff is great, the food is excellent, and the accommodations are ideal for hikers. Our group of 20 enjoyed our stay at phantom and look forward to being back in 2017.

We had a group of 6 people hiking and had made reservations at Phantom Ranch a couple of months before. We tried to get through on the phone lines to book it when bookings opened a year before but were unable to get through so we had to wait for cancellations to get in. This means calling daily until you...

We hiked down and back with our 12 year old daughter and her friend. I had planned on using the duffle service so we wouldn't have to carry our stuff, but in the end it didn't seem like we needed very much and it was easier than coordinating a drop off at the Bright Angel lodge the day before. Phantom...

Hiked it twice and last time was in 2010.Stayed at ranch both times and was right up there with some of my best vacations as I have hiked many places in the western states and have done a lot of off roading also. It is no stroll in the park but some of the best places to look at the...

Hiking to Phantom Ranch was a bucket list item for me in the year of my 60th birthday. Made the reservation at Phantom 13 months in advance. The hike down the So. Kaibab (6 hours down) and up the Bright Angel (9 hours up) the following day was difficult but doable. October was the perfect time to go as temperatures...

We were asked by friends to take someone's spot that was reserved for the south rim hike down the Grand Canyon to stay the night at Phantom Ranch. We were then scheduled to hike back up the Canyon the next morning. We took the Kalinin route down the Canyon and had to refrain from taking too many pictures as the...
