Good location. No flush toilets in winter or running water. Not sure what the primitave camping fee was, maybe $10 a night, but I'm not sure what we paid for exactly as we were in the parking lot to camp.

try to remember that unless you are at a lodge or in the Fish camp campground, there are no showers to be had, but aside from that, the place had a lot less rowdies in it than some of the other campgrounds and it is a short distance from so much of the park. Right next to lake McDonald and...

We had a lovely experience at Apgar Campground. We had an easy bike ride into town and enjoyed splashing in Lake McDonald at the end of the day. Although we were in the trees we watched the moon rising and had a lovely view of the stars. Our spot in the campground was peaceful and the bathrooms were clean.

Really enjoyed our stay here. In spite of being a large campground, we found it to be very quiet. It has pull through sites, with most being quite level, and several accommodating larger RV's. The sites have a lot of space between them, giving a sense of privacy not always found in larger campgrounds. There is a trail to the...

We had a pull through site for a travel trailer that offered a nice table, firepit and level parking site. The pull through was gravel, the site dirt & rock and it wasn't dusty at all. Nice clean bathrooms close by, running potable water but no showers. The sites have no power nor water but it is camping right? Septic...

The largest campground on the west side of Glacier. No showers (available at Fish Creek CG, if open). First come, first served. Dump station, though you are unable to connect their hose to your San-T-Flush. Good water freely available. Cell service is 2 bars on the entrance end of the loops. All sites are drive through crescents. This one is...

We enjoyed three nights at this campground. The trees are beautiful and separate each campsite from the others. Many of the sites are very level for campers or motorhomes. There are flush toilets and a sink with running water. Also drinking water available every several sites. There are no hookups for electric or water. Good for tent or trailer.

Stayed here for two weeks in a group campsite. What an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this for family. Close to everything with quick free shuttle access around park too. The only gripe I have is the smoke. It seems to hang in the air more so than other sites.

I tent camped in Apgar as well as Avalanche Creek. Avalanche Creek has the advantage of being right on the trailhead of the crowded trail to Avalanche Lake, but Apgar is a far superior campground featuring nicer bathrooms, more campsites (if you're worried about finding one), and easy access to the visitor's center and Apgar Village. The camping experience here...

The best part of this campground was its proximity to Lake McDonald. Our group of 24 took up a good chunk of the group camping area, but we all had plenty of room. The fire pits were nice for sitting around. The bathroom facilities were nice for the campground. Super easy walk into Apgar village.

“I recommend reserving a group site if you are travelling with at least 9 people. They really are not expensive and you get lots of space, privacy & amenities - not to mention, you know you have a site for the night!”
