I rented a cabin, a couple of motel rooms in the lodge, and a room at the neighboring Village Inn for a family reunion. For everyone rating this so poorly, there is nothing in the literature that touts these cabins as anything but rustic, so it was about what I expected. The bathrooms were pretty tiny, especially in the lodge,...

Welcome to the 40's ladies and gentlemen. Overpriced!!!! Very small, the mattresses are shot, they sag horribly. The bathroom is small, if you want to shower you better be short and under 150lbs. No WIFI and the cell phone signal is horrible. Please note, the property this disaster adjoins is beautiful and can't be best, but you can't sit outside...

Glacier Park I, Manager at Apgar Village Lodge, responded to this review

Hi Rich S, thanks for taking the time to leave some feedback about your stay at Apgar. The cabins in Apgar are some of the most historical buildings in Glacier, dating back to the 1890's. The task of updating seasonal cabins like these inside the National Park is challenging accounting for the small showers you experienced. We're glad you enjoyed...

Awful. Just awful. We stayed in the cabin 2 nights--the front door had huge gaps when shut and locked. I am 5'6" and the shower head just came above my head. The shower curtain clings to your legs whether the door is open or shut. Absolutely no room to shave your legs, ladies! Pros? Fairly clean and had a large...

Hi leetl319, thank you for taking the time to detail your experience at Apgar Village Lodge. We are very sorry to hear that your stay was unsatisfactory. Due to the time period the cabins were built in, some of the amenities are much different than what we're used to today. You describe a number of deficiencies associated with your stay,...

Poorest accommodations on a great trip out west. Glacier National Park is gorgeous, but Apgar Village Lodge just doesn't keep up with the times. No air conditioning, and it was very warm. A box fan just didn't cool our cabin. No consistent water temperature in the shower. Hot one second, and freezing cold the next. I had to keep one...

Hi tjeffb3, thank you for taking the time to detail your experience at Apgar Village Lodge. We are very sorry to hear that your stay was uncomfortable. Due to the age of the Inn and the location, accommodations tend to be different than elsewhere. We do make an effort to communicate this at time of booking and we do apologize...

Made this reservation over a year ago so our friends from Rochester could come experience Glacier Park for the first time. What a great, nostalgic visit this was. Hiking some of the premier trails almost daily. The cabin is the usual rustic varnished knotty pine interior just perfect for a party of 4. Quiet, peaceful, clean, comfortable, although the couch...

The cabin is so cute and ours (#53) was located between two front cabins. There are mature trees shading the cabins. The bed was comfortable and the main room had enough room. There were chairs and a picnic table in front, so we spent the evenings sitting there and watching the squirrels forage. The bathroom was an adequate size for...

Apgar Village Lodge and Cabins was our first stop in a 2 week tour of Glacier. It was great! Let's be clear that you are paying for location. In our case, we had cabin 52 which was a bonus because we were at the end of a line of cabins. So instead of being sandwiched in between cabins, we had...

We had never been to Glacier NP before and didn't know what to expect in the Apgar area. We had tired for the waterfront hotel (Village Inn @ Apgar - different concessioner) but since we hadn't booked a year+ in advance, there wasn't a room for the time we wanted. We booked a 2 Room Front Motel 2 Queens. What...

My wife and I stayed three nights in one of the cabins at the Apgar Village Lodge. The cabin was small and certainly not new, but it had a small kitchen, a nice sized bathroom, and a very comfortable bed, and it was very clean. It was tucked back in a little grove of tall pine trees, and it provided...

My family stayed at this motel in the western end of Glacier National Park (part of the Apgar "village"). It is run by a park vendor. There were two separate bedrooms (no doors) and a tiny bathroom. It was clean and comfortable, though tight--especially the bathroom--for four people. There is a pretty good restaurant nearby, along with a souvenir shop...
