Built in 1933, Swiftcurrent Motor Inn is located one mile from Many Glacier Hotel and is a hiker's paradise with trailheads for many of Glacier's most spectacular hikes right outside its doors. In addition to 95 cabins and motor inn rooms, you will find 'Nell's restaurant, fully stocked campstore/gift shop, and numerous activities at this picturesque location. Swiftcurrent Motor Inn consists of rooms divided between three individual buildings with outside access. Pinetop Motel rooms are located in one long building and are accessed by a central hallway. Duplex style cabins are arranged in circles and available with or without a private bathroom. A shower room is conveniently located nearby. Cabins without a private bath do have a private sink with cold running water. A limited number of ADA-accessible rooms are available and are booked based on space available.
It is a nice motor lodge located deep in the Many Glacier area of Glacier NP. The rooms are comfortable and it is a great location for this area. It was extremely hot while we were there and there is no air conditioning, but we knew this already as this is standard in NPS lodges. They have box fans and we used ours. We no humidity in the area we could sleep fine with the fan.

Although the front desk and restaurant provided great service, housekeeping was non existent. IF YOU WANT HOUSEKEEPING IT IS ON YOU TO CLEAN AND REPLENISH YOUR OWN ROOM. We hiked 10+ miles a day so on the first day we dashed into our cabin, quickly washed up and threw our muddy towels on the floor. The next day after coming back from hiking we found no clean towels, just the soiled towels on the floor. Had to walk to the front desk to get new towels. In National Park you would expect a bin for trash in your room + one for reclining (all other facilities provide this). Only one trash container was provided so we stacked recyclables next to it. We found that the trash was also not dumped, so a second trip to the check-in area to dump our own trash and put the recyclables in the bin. Just before going to bed, we set out our coffee thermos to make coffee in the morning and noticed that the coffee hadn't be replenished, so walked back to the front desk a third time. WE WROTE TO XANTERRA TO COMPLAIN AND HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE, SO THEY DON'T CARE!…

This review is complicated. In terms of the actual rooms, the size of the beds, and the amenities compared to a typical hotel, the rooms are 3 star at best. So why did I give it 5 stars. Well, first off, this is a historic 50s ever lodge built at a time when motor lodge rooms were simpler and they intentionally kept it that way while offering niceties (good bedding, toiletries, fans, etc. The location is 6 stars if you want to enjoy Glacier NP. It's right by great trailheads. It's tucked away from a lot of the noise and commotion and it feels peaceful and belongs in nature. I enjoyed it more than I would have enjoyed Many Glacier Hotel. You have everything you need at Swiftcurrent and none of the excess. If you love to hike, try to book here. It's perfect.

Arrived after a long journey from Phillipsburg with two dodgy tyres. Our room was quiet, the views lovely and the laundry was much needed One of the beds was broken which I reported on arrival and they did offer to get someone to look at it but we were so tired we just slept in the other bed, a very small double, a bit uncomfortable for two! We’d bought our own breakfast so can’t comment on the catering but front desk staff very helpful and called their mechanics who fixed one of our tyres, very much appreciated

We didn’t know what to expect going into the stay but were pleasantly surprised! We had two rooms, each with a double and a twin bed. Rooms were clean and surprisingly cooler than expected since it’s July and no AC in the rooms. The dark curtains and box fans came in handy. Nice toiletries in the bathroom as well. It was very quiet at night as well. Wifi is only available in the lobby and it was definitely spotty at times but is expected for a national park lodge. The gift shop had everything we needed and front desk staff was helpful. Would definitely stay again!

I'm glad I read reviews about the rooms so I knew what to expect. Small basic room (Pine Top Motel). Bed comfy. Bathroom and shower dated and tiny. Window in room could use replacing, wood in sad condition. Stayed the last 2 nights of their season. BUT you can't beat the location! Was lucky to snag these 2 nights when I did. Was able to use the wifi in the Swiftcurrent lobby but also in the Many Glacier Hotel public areas with much more room to spread out.

Positives: clean, great bed, great shower, quiet. I thought the restaurant was excellent. The Breakfast Wrap was delish -- so good to have some good food when you are hiking. The pepperoni pizza was excellent for dinner. The side salad -- not just an afterthought -- perfection. Negatives: my only thought -- our room was claustrophobic with the curtains closed. There should be a sheer curtain so that you can leave the heavy curtains open and still have privacy. But it's either curtains open with a full view inside the room from outside, or curtains closed with no light and claustrophobia. Does that make sense? Otherwise a great stay. We saw moose on the lake nearby!

My wife and I were here only one night, we had a room with two full size beds and a small bathroom. The room was basic and clean. With hiking all day all we needed was a comfortable bed and a place to shower and this met those needs. Only wish we had 2 or 3 nights here. There is no air conditioning but with the window open it was comfortable.

Good sized room that was clean. Great location within Many Glacier area. If coming late in the season the restaurants have limited menus - they don't restock all of their supplies. Convenient to lots of great hiking.

Great experience GNP. Had Motor inn Queen room, had comfortable bed. We stayed in Airbnb the last half of our vacation and missed Swiftcurrent despite having many more amenities at Airbnb. Felt like camping as you are amongst the trees, only with bed/bathroom 😊
