Our room on the first floor was quite small but comfortable though, crucially for me, lacking a desk. The bathroom was very small with a walk in shower, but not enough shelving.

Sorry for delay replying. I would not just show up and try to get a room at Lake McDonald, cool place to even visit though. Columbia Falls and Whitefish are fairly close to the park. I would also book ahead for those.
