We loved Denali. Riley Creek was perfect. Spent one night here before our backcountry trip and 2 nights after. Loved hanging out at the mercantile. The hand scooped ice cream was the perfect indulgence. Hated spending $5 to shower, but after being in the backcountry it was well worth it. Laundry facility was great and priced right. All the staff...

We stayed here for 3 nights in our RV during early July. We had booked this almost 6 months in advance. The campground is pretty big with a good amount of spots for large RVs (greater than 30 feet) as well. You check-in at the camper store and then pick an available spot in the campground. The actual spots are...

I was in the Riley Creek campground for a few days in the backpackers campground in early June. It was very peaceful at that time of year. There was only one other person there for those days. The amphitheater program I went to was interesting too. It was about the cats in the park. PLEASE BEWARE! There is dangerous wildlife...

Riley Creek is the largest campground in Denali and one of three one can drive to. Most campers stay in RVs of various sizes. Since it is the one campground that accommodates larger RVs, there are quite a few taking advantage of this. There are many walk-in tent sites with bear boxes for food storage at the rear of the...

Excellent experience. Very quiet sites. We camped in an RV on the Wolf Loop. Furthest from the Mercantile. No hookups at any of the sites but it's not a problem. Nice mix of RVs and tent campers. Restrooms located at convenient locations. Easy walk to the Visitors center and Wilderness Center where the buses depart. Tried to get to the...

We camped in site A65 for 3 nights, and it was one of our favourite campgrounds in Alaska. The site was huge (lots of room for our 31-foot with slides and awning, and towed car), almost level, and well equipped (fire pit and trail access). It was a fair walk to the nearest outhouse (no flush toilets up there). Wifi...

This campground provided a nice, private site with trees and a good flat area to pitch a tent. There are plenty of toilet facilities and the mercantile was within quick walking distance where they had shower and laundry facilities. The only complaint is the highway noise. Road construction went on all night long, which isn't the fault of the campground,...

Great quiet spot inside the park. Close to Riley Creek and is close to he mercantile. Site was good size for our 33ft RV. Most activities picked us up there. Has potable water and dump Faculties. Close to trails and would recommend to someone visiting here

Wooded campground, which offers some privacy between sites. It has marked trails and is convenient to the Mercantile where there are pay showers, toilets and washers and dryers. There is wi-fi in the campground and at the Mercantile. There are also flush toilets, sinks and potable water within the campground. The dumpststion is conveniently located at the Mercantile, as well.

I spent 4 nights camping in the tent-only walk-in section. For those who may also be travelling solo with a tent, I chose to book a 'B' site just so that I could reserve a site in advance. When I arrived I was happy to swap to a tent only 'C' site, which saved me $8 a night (refunded). They...
