We stayed 3 nights. It is very rustic. No cell phones, no tv, which was exactly what we wanted. We went on 2 different hikes. The guides are amazing. One was a botanist, another a geologist, etc etc. They are young and enthusiastic We also went panning for gold and watched the sled dogs race around the lodge. Breakfast is...

We hope that you get back here too! It sounds like you truly appreciated the wilderness for what it was, the no TV and no cell phones can be such a relaxing experience. You are right about Denali... it must be seen to be believed. Thank you for the review and we hope your adventures bring you back our way...

We enjoyed the bus ride to Kantishna Roadhouse. Our bus driver Kirsty was amazing. It was a long ride but it was worth it. We saw caribou, a bear, ptarmigan and dall sheep. Our cabin was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and organized. The food was okay. We enjoyed our hikes. The only complaint is that at times...

We took the Wilderness Express train from Fairbanks to the Denali depot. We were met there by the Kantishna Roadhouse bus, driven be Kristen on the way in, and Christine on the way out. Kantishna is the end of the road, 92 miles into Denali Park. Our drivers both had binocular vision. They spotted wildlife that we otherwise probably wouldn't...

Fantastic guides and staff. Good cabins at least equal to a good motel. Activities that keep you very fully energized whatever your physical abilities followed by a drink at a fine bar and excellent meals. The bus ride in is a great way to see wildlife and everything else in the park while hearing about it from a driver/guide who...

We stayed at Kantishna Roadhouse two nights. They offer experienced guides for a variety of activities. My wife and I took a half day hike to the river. Our guide was pointed out many interesting things about the flora and fauna of the area. They have hikes ranging from easy to difficult. The meals were delicious, and the cabins comfy...

We were with a Natural Habitat "tour" so I do not know their pricing. In Danali National park A RUSTIC LODGE WITH DOG TRAINING FOR SLED DOGS : Excellent place to see Mt. Denali. If it is cloud covered you can do a fly over and see the mountain. It is impressive. HIKEING AS YOU WISH, EASY TO HARD TRAILS....

We stayed three nights at Kantishna as part of our Denali tour. We cannot say enough about the staff and our overall experience. The hikes were terrific! The guides were great! Very knowledgeable. The staff was great! The food and bar were excellent! We made many new friends in our short stay. We were part of the group "trapped" by...

We only spent one night here but our hiking guide, Cody, was outstanding. He had degrees in biology and geology and led us on a stimulating and quite educational hike. It was such a special place we would have enjoyed staying longer. Many of our group took advantage of the gold mining!

I disagree with the reviewer who said the lodge and cabins are mediocre. They in fact are very nice and comfortable. The place is, after all, in the middle of a national park, so one can hardly expect the Ritz. We were there for two nights and had no complaints. A big part of the experience is the bus ride...

The Roadhouse is basically log cabins in the woods accessed on unpaved paths through the woods. The cabins are appointed quite nicely. There is no WiFi anywhere, this facility is 95 miles deep in the park. The staff is fantastic with expert guides for just about any adventure. Meals in the lodge are very good from the buffet breakfast to...
