I had to grit my teeth to pay $400 for a room at the inn but figured that it's a historic hotel and a once in a lifetime experience. Frankly, the room isn't worth it, but then there are the surroundings--lovely architecture, stunning garden setting, a stellar pool with silky water. It was a wonderful way to relax after hiking....

Great location and views. After a long drive, the Inn and palm garden look like an oasis. We enjoyed a deluxe king room and had a very nice porch with views of the desert and mountains. Bathroom is spacious with nice tile and shower. Only got to stay one night which was too short. Recommend making dinner reservations well ahead...

The location of this property and its grounds are spectacular. What you expect from an historical National Park lodge. However the management was way off the mark. Fundamentally there was a lack of communication between departments (dining, desk, housekeeping). For example the front desk staff did not know that the dining room was not providing in-room dining. The dining room...

We went here in the hottest time of the year. The pool was refreshing, the room lovely, and the proximity great for day trips to various sites. We did not know the shower water would be warm however----i guess that makes sense. Everyone was very friendly and the grounds and pool were delightful. i cant wait to go back.

It's expensive, but you already knew that. The room is comfortable, there is plenty of parking and the location to all the attractions can't be beat. On the negative side the wifi is the slowest I've ever experienced with a download speed of .2 mps making it frustrating to keep in contact with work. Forget about streaming or updating Facebook....

We spent 2 nights at the Furnace Creek Ranch and 1 night at the more upscale Inn. We liked both very much, but the Ranch was more relaxed feeling to us. Our decision to stay 2 nights at the Ranch, before moving to the Inn was the right move for us -- moving from the more family oriented Ranch to...

If you are looking for a recently renovated, everything looks new with the latest, greatest that hotels offer, you will be disappointed. This is a charming, rustic Inn built long before the government gave any kind of status to Death Valley. Some people would substitute “tired” for “rustic.” Given its age it is in pretty good condition. And the ambience...

We'd been traveling for some time. And then in the middle of Death Valley- an oasis! That is not where the surprise ended, however. The staff were friendly courteous helpful and funny. The food was delicious. And the proportions were huge. You could ride, go on hay rides or buggy rides if you prebooked. The amenities and grounds were top...

My group of 4 (2 rooms) spent 3 night at the Furnace Creek Ranch last week. This is my 6th visit to the park in the past 10 years. Expectations relating to amenities were realistic. As mentioned, I have stayed at the Ranch a number of times. Having said that, I found the condition of the building and room to...

I have a message for the management: historic cabin does not equal badly maintained. Try harder. If you want to stay in a hotel in Death Valley, the Ranch or the Inn are your only options. I stayed for a 5 nights in a Cabin at the Ranch, and kind of wish I hadn't. The room would be best described...
