Like previous reviewers we stopped here because it was too far to drive on to anywhere else. We paid over $270 for the room which didn't include breakfast. When I went to ask for a corkscrew to open my bottle of wine I was told I would be charged corkage! They relented and gave me a disposable corkscrew. On the...

We spent one night here during our honeymoon. Hotel is a bit old but still a decent accomodation for people traveling along the Death Valley (a very long trip!). The ranch provides all the necessary facilities in one place (several restaurants and a small market store) so you don't have to take your car. Downsides? Air conditioning: old system, with...

We were travelling the US and came to Furnace Creek Inn. The location is nice and the hotel has got a lot of atmosphere. That's the good news. The bad news is that it seems to be quite poorly run. The staff doesn't seem to be very competent and the restaurant is extremely overpriced, and the buffet is extremely poor,...

We stayed for 1 night on our way from Vegas to Yosemite. I wish we had kept driving!!' It was over 50 degrees c when we arrived and we had booked a standard room. These are in 2 story long huts. The a/ c was barely working in our room and the heat unbearable. After twice complaining ( the girl...

Arrived at the Inn in 45° heat, despite the sign for valet parking and bell hop to take our bags, no one was in sight. So we lugged them up ourselves. The room was ok, old but comfortable. The fridge didn't work and the ac was barely cool enough and unable to be changed. The pool was nice, but no...

We stayed 1 night, pretty expensive but you get a very nice clean room with all amenities you need, nice warm pool and interesting open museum. Eco friendly hotel: photovoltaic system, biodegradable shampoo. We liked it very much.

I paid the supplement for the nice view on the valley but actually got a chamber with view blocked by palm trees Nevertheless room was cosy and nice. Buffet in the inn's restaurant was expensive and did not deliver fair quality: no vegetables, only one poor peach pie as a desert, no fruits. And in the morning, bad surprise: no breakfast...

We stayed at the Furnace Creek Inn last year and loved the architectural experience of that historic property. My expectations were tempered this year when choosing the more family friendly property of the Furnace Creek Ranch, yet this placed actually exceed my expectations on several levels. We stayed in the 700 block of rooms on the first floor in a...

This is a place I have been to many times. Death valley is a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors and after a day out this is a great place to relax. Our room has a outside door that I love, not all do so ask. The Inn is very old and I prefer to stay in this kind of...

An odd start to our Furnace Creek experience. We booked over the 'phone, chatting to their reservation staff whilst looking at the Furnace Creek Inn website and discussing the various features and some of the images we could see. Hence we were rather surprised when we got to the Inn to find it closed for refurbishment with signs directing us...
