We stayed here on two occasions in September 2018. Sites are first-come, first served, and require cash or a check to pay (there are ATMs in the park, I think). Pick up the envelop from the campground host station just as you enter. Then proceed...More

Amazing Park. We stayed at the Sunset Lodge area. Rooms were clean, not a great view as I would expect from the description. NO AIR CONDITIONING. Even though it got down to 65 at night, it was high 80s low 90s during the day. They...More

Felt very fortunate that we got to stay in the park. Due to construction, all sites were first come first served. Based on others reviews, we choose the sunset site. Easy access to shuttle. We were very happy with our stay.

I stayed here with my husband on a Monday night in a campsite on B Loop. Many of the reviews are spot on about the well-maintained, clean, bathrooms and kitchen sink. The campsites have metal picnic tables and fire rings. The camp volunteer was VERY...More

There were no reservations open for Bryce canyon camp grounds starting from June 2018 for summer. Has anyone been there recently that can update on availability of sites for first come first serve? We are planning for end of June.

I'm planning a trip to Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion in July. This is a road trip from Florida and my family's first time out West. I'm trying to book all our accommodations for the trip and am feeling pretty frustrated about the lack of sites available for reservation online. I'm one day from the opening of the reservation window for my desired date and all sites are already booked. I've read that you need to arrive early (by 8?) to secure a "first come" spot especially on the weekend. We are planning to drive up from the Grand Canyon on Saturday, July 15th so I don't see us making it there by 8 or any time before noon to secure a spot for ourselves. I'm hoping someone familiar with the campgrounds in the area can offer a little guidance here. I've considered leaving GC late on the 14th and staying overnight in a hotel near Bryce Canyon so we can get into the park early enough to get a camping spot. Am I needlessly worrying about this or will it be necessary to take this step?
