We did spent a week in Zante in May. The whole holiday was absolutely amazing, the staff was really friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcomed. We would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a wonderful time in Greece. Special thanks to: Thomas,Stergios, Nado, Mateo, Daniela, Spiridoyla, Maria and Kostas and everyone else that we do not know the names of. Thank you all for the wonderful holiday. Just in brackets the owner's son could be a little bit more welcoming. See you next time.😉
On the arival we get the room with the dirty bathroom and the floors. Try to change the next morning, but the lady at reception asked us to pay extra euros for the room with balcony. Even if we pay the room wasn’t perfect-Old shower curtain, all bathroom with limescales. They don’t change the bedding unless you ask them to change., but no one informed us we need to ask.The food at the restaurant is avarage. The hotel viewing is stunning, but the hotel itself is falling apart. At the reception we bought a trip to see Navagio beach and other caves, but on the day no one informed us that because of the weather conditions they will not stop at Navagio. They only told to everyone when we was not far away from Navagio beach. That’s weird because the other ships was stopping anyway. What is the pointless trip and everyone was disappointed. …
On check-in we were told the room type we'd booked (through a reputable UK flight and holiday operator) wasn't available until the following day so they'd put us in another room for the first night (pool view which we deliberately hadn't booked because we didn't want to listen to all inclusive boozers whilst trying to sleep) and we'd have to pack up again and move the next day or pay extra to stay. In thirty years of travel I have never been told to move rooms or pay more. They should have "upgraded" the outgoing occupants - it felt like a blatant attempt to get more money out of us. There's a totally disused lounge area at the back of reception - full of comfortable sofas but dangling cables where a TV used to be and the bar is a flight of stairs below and you're not supposed to take drinks away. As you leave the lobby to head down the outside steps you're greeted by a host of underpants drying on stand alone airers - we figured this must be staff rooms rather than guests (who have private balconies with pull out airers). The "upgraded" seaview room was unpleasant - repulsive sulphur smell in the chipped, mouldy bath's drain, a tiny, sloping shelf was the only place to put our toiletries, and of course bar noise. When we got to the "regular" room we had booked it was a huge improvement in terms of comfort and facilities. It is however amidst the "dumping ground" for the broken chairs etc, dead Palm leaves the owner instructed to be pruned and where the staff must live and strew all their stuff around. The hotel itself is in a bad state of repair though as well as the State I'd the bathroom in the first room The wooden decking around the pool and at the bar is hazardous due to being rotten, loose, large holes. Public area toilet locks were broken or missing keys. The pool table was missing balls and the cues were all broken and the light looked like it didn't meet wiring standards and so quite rightly didn't work. The orange barrier between the kids pool and main pool had holes filled with foam. There were holes in the bed sheets and eiderdowns. The fountains weren't on - unknown if broken or switched off. The facilities are poor - no wi-fi reception outside main building No lift except a ludicrously hot outdoor glass box in the main building (but it ticks a star rating box) No indoor access to the restaurant so you get wet when it rains - they don't even provide umbrellas. I'm not sure there's step free access either. A tiny gym - ticks a star rating box but of no service other than for a laugh - and not even mentioned on their website The dining and bar chairs are unbelievably uncomfortable (whereas balcony chairs were all right if you put your pillow on them). Reception didn't give us any info about pool towels - we asked but many people used no towels or white room towels or bought their own or accusedv those with beige towels of coming from the neighbouring suites. Those lovely looking mattress sunbeds in the photos all have rather gross sweat stains on them ... Hygiene was questionable - no mattress protector on the beds, pool bins weren't emptied, soap and paper towel dispensers were absent from pool toilets for days. Our holiday company rated it 3 star which I'd agree with. In Greece it's rated 4 star which meant the tourist tax was much much higher than we were expecting. The drinks were very poor - squash rather than real fruit juice was disappointing at breakfast and made cocktails undrinkable. The wine was watered down and the soft drinks flat. On the plus side it did have the peacefulness we were looking for - the repetitive daytime bar music was not too bothersome on the second level and not audible at sea level - you can just enjoy the slap of the waves and other hum of nature. And there are no handy temptations away from all inclusive other than a walk to a neighbouring village or resort. Overall probably value for money in the current climate but with a little effort on maintenance and cleanliness this could have been a five star review…
Food mediocre and not suitable for children. They did serve pasta everyday but when the sauce was served with mussels in, it rather put the kids off. We were given the same potato dish every day, a little variety would have been nice. This is the first all inclusive I have stayed in when I felt the need to eat out most nights. There were no snacks in the afternoon as advertised. After a few complaints they started bringing out ham rolls and some apples. There were no ice creams during the day for the kids which is what I am used to with an all inclusive. The hairdryer in the bathroom reminded me of the hairdryers you used to get years ago at public swimming pools, sorry for those of you who don't remember those days. My advice is to take your own hairdryer. I'm assuming bathrooms were cleaned but the staff had not noticed the showerhead was blocked. I had to ask for a replacement Beds were not made properly. Bottom sheets were just laid over the bed and not tucked in so if you didn't tuck them in yourself then you ended up sleeping directly on the mattress The pool did not look as good as in the pictures due to an orange barrier placed between the kids pool and the main pool. Made worse by the unsightly repairs which had been made to it. English was not spoken very well by the staff. The Bar and Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful, but the main reception staff were not. On our first night we were given the wrong room number, when we entered the room it was obviously already occupied, apparently the receptionist misread the room number, and so gave us room key cards to give us access to someone else's room. Jewellery was taken from my room. I understand the hotel's reasoning that it should have been in the safe, but it wasn't valuable and I didn't think it would be at risk. There was one day when we were locked out of our room, which made me wonder whether the staff had given other guests access to our room as they had done with us at the start of our stay. So I have no idea if the culprits were staff or guests. There is no pebble beach, just stone steps down in to the sea Despite knowing that I struggled with steps, I had to find flat access to the pool and restaurant myself. It was a grass path which whilst flat was not entirely suitable for wheelchairs. And there was no disabled access to the second pool or the supposed pebble beach The mini market was across the road, but it really didn't stock much. Wifi was dodgy, and very intermittent in the rooms (well almost non existent unless you were sitting on the balcony) Didn't see shuttle service in to town, but they would organise taxis. They encouraged couples to share a taxi but rather than sharing the cost, the drivers charged full payment to both couples…
came back 2 days ago after the worst week holiday i've ever had. the view and the pool area was fabulous couldn't complain about that at all. taken to our room when we arrived it was dark and smelled funny. bed was like sleeping on concrete. had to take lamp shades off to get the lamps to work. went to unpack took my shoes off by time i had finished my feet were filthy. the shower didn't work. complained several times still didn't get it didnt get repaired. so arrived on the saturday got a room change on the thursday so was at least happy to be able to get a proper shower. the food was either barely warm or cold on 2 occassiond my husband got raw chicken have pictures of it. the food was the same nearly every day might change the sauce. the food on many occassions looked dry. they didn't cater for the english. no chips pizza burgers ect ect. even the snack bar was only a few sandwiches on a tray that wasn't edible or cookies. complained about the food from day 1. they manage to give us baked beans and some sort of sausage on the thursady but they were stone cold. thet gave us chips at lunch they were cold or barely warm. all inclusive but cost us a fortune since we had to go out to eat every night. many people was complaining and some managed to get changed to an other hotel. i would rate this hotel a 2* at best. also says wifi throughout the hotel. i wasnt able to get on it at all with my phone kindle or tablet…
We took our 4 year old to Greece as a special trip before her starting big school. The hotel website says family friendly place.Definately not.First of all no food for kids. Our daughter ate only dry pasta and ice cream in the hotel restaurant for all week(she really enjoyed meals in the local taverns). The playground there is a proper disaster. She wasn't allowed to play there without an adult as we were worry about her safety.A lot of rusted demaged toys but the state of the artificial grass on the ground was the worst.During our week stay noone even bother to check the condition of the place where kids were playing. All three of us left the hotel with big amounts of red very itchy bites on our bodies. We suspected must be something in the mattresses 😱More people complained about it. Otherwise she loved her holiday as we tried to deliver her a lot of entertainment (trips, cruise, water park ). We definately won't be back to this hotel.…
Came here for a holiday to find a mouldy shower curtain in the bathroom and a rusty bin, who uses shower curtains anymore? So so unhygienic! Room definitely no up to standard, not clean and very outdated. Staff not friendly at all apart from Paraskevi so so helpful and lovely and Thomas at the bar always smiling and chatty. Ordered two orange juices not included in the all inclusive and was made by the Tsamis suite hotel for a cost of €7 each, ridiculous as the cost of a non-inclusive cocktail is €4,50. The place and views are amazing but I will definitely not be back. Good manners and amazing customer service make people come back and this is definitely not the case.
Stayed here last week 19th -26 august We were put in a noddy house room 412 very unclean and bathroom was disgusting and unhygienic I did complain straightaway and cleaners cleaned it We were moved next day to full sea view room which was nice until the bathroom flooded and raw sewage came up the floor hole Beds you are better sleeping on the floor for a better sleep mini bar was empty and just a fridge so don’t expect that to be full Pictures on booking page are not what you get the sister suites hotel is over the road this hotel is outdated and needs upgrades urgently Now the food breakfast no beans mushrooms eggs yes but no chef to cook anything ie omelette put in terrines and is cold even first person in 7.30 am. Old 4 slice toaster takes ages limited cereal Dinner , very bland not much choice and barely Luke warm even chicken with flies all over open terrine’s health risk Salad good and sweets are the best Evening meal, roughly same as dinner cold roast potatoes limited choice very poor no Greek foods or curries as described on Tui web page If you wanna loose weight go here as you will not be happy with the food we ate out from day 2 and went all inclusive You can order food from sister hoel at a cost and they fetch it over that was lovely at a premium cost total money making racket U have been warned. No bottled water available u have to pay for it at the bar Restaurant was cleanish windows and doors were rotten and were never cleaned the whole time we were there Pool area was great plenty of sun beds but old and tired pools were clean infinity pool and loungers are the best part of the hotel No black but steps into the sea take swim shoes and snorkelling equipment as the fish out there are amazing 🤩 Quiet place no entertainment on night except Sunday Greek night so boring nights ahead tomaz on the bar kept it going and was brilliant running around looking after people All in all hotel is 2-3 star max no way it’s 4 star I have wrote this as I have seen it so it’s up to you to go or not we were with Tui who has no rep at the place I even got the jet 2 lady who was there to sample the food Everyone was complaining about this I would never return to this hotel ever again…
This is definitely not 4 star as advertised, the rooms on the website are in the main building not the side rooms. Dirty bathroom, main part of room ok, you can’t sit on the balcony if the air conditioning is on as the unit situated on the balcony blows hot air on you and leaks water onto the floor. The food is awful and look warm, breakfast is the best meal of the day. The picture on the website is not the actual restaurant. Outside the pools are lovely but the walkways are hazardous with rotting wood and screws sticking out. The sun beds are falling apart and it takes 3 people to put the parasols up as the pulleys are rusted. The (snack bar) is a table that stale sandwiches or biscuits are dumped on once a day. The bar is open from 11.00 - 23.00 then you have to pay. The Vardiola Taverna was lovely and a godsend for food.…
The hotel is a little out of the way from the nearest main resort Tsilivi which is about 15/16 euros in a taxi. If you are looking for peace and quiet then this hotel is great. There was no noise at night and it was very tranquil and peaceful during the day. You have the option of the bigger pool, then down a few steps to the beautiful infinity pool which looks out over the immense sea, then down a further few steps to a small man-made beach which leads directly to the sea. The sea is pebbly so would recommend going in with some form of footwear on. The rooms are a little dated but did the job and were comfortable and enough for myself, my mum and son. This was my first time to anywhere in Greece so I wasn't able to compare to other all inclusives but I thought there was not a huge choice of food. The salad bar was great and plentiful but the selection of hot food was limited. In fairness I pretty much eat most foods so did not struggle but felt a lack of choice. I felt it could be difficult for some people and children to find enough to eat. The rooms were cleaned everyday, fresh towels (although stained from sun cream over time etc_ but clean. The bar manager was great, very friendly and helpful along with all the restaurant staff, a credit to the hotel. The older receptionist was very pleasant, smiling and welcoming, the younger one I felt she was strained in her hellos and did not even smile should you pass her anywhere else in the hotel but this did not bother me. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel to families and couples, the pool area and beach and views are fantastic…
