I stayed at Illaria's house in the hills near Fivizzano for four memorable days where peace and tranquillity reign supreme. Illaria and Stephano are genuinely hospitable- nothing is too much trouble- and they create a very special atmosphere which stays with you even after you've waved goodbye. Illaria is a brilliant cook and will teach you how to make foccacia...

We enjoyed our stay at LaLuna, especially as it was a return to our family's actual home before they immigrated to America. Ilaria is especially welcoming and an excellent chef. The courtyard is charming. We will return in the not too distant future.

I am so happy I found Ilaria and La una di Quarazzana and had the chance to visit this amazing place! We were group of ten people and we all enjoyed our stay that much that I cannot even express. First of all, while still searching for a place to stay, Ilaria was so fast responsive and kind that she...

Tranquil relaxed place with a homely atmosphere. If you enjoy great Italian food then eat in every night, Ilaria and her husband will feed you well with amazing home cooking. Say hello to Benny the cat and enjoy a glass of wine in the courtyard

We spent 3 days with 2 kids at Ilaria's semi restored house. I say semi restored as her property is a work in progress built on a dream and much love in a deserted hamlet away from the Tuscan hordes. We had the family room that consisted of 2 separate rooms and my only gripe was that the blinds let...

I am not used to reviewing things but Ilaria made such an impression I felt I had to! I randomly found La Luna di Quarazzana on the internet, I looked at reviews, which all seemed to be fantastic and immediately booked. It is located in a relatively remote tiny village in the appenines about 2 hours south of Parma, I...

When I stumbled across La Luna online, I thought it sounded too good to be true. Such good value! Ilaria's generosity and gentle spirit made us feel instantly at home. We were treated to fantastic food, much of it from Ilaria's garden, and local wine and cheese. We heard the cowbells and walked in the woods. We enjoyed the views,...

Ilaria & Stephano are gradually restoring a large ruined farm complex in a very rural part. They have made five beautiful spacious rooms in barns and the main house around a lovely courtyard. It is very tastefully done with dozens of thoughtful touches and decorations. Around these buildings is a disused church, a small working farm, a couple of other...

What a find! We stayed here for four nights in early June. As an earlier review remarked, La Luna di Quarazzana is like something from a beautiful movie set. It is a restored farmhouse in an ancient village (current population 10!), set high (about 2,000 feet) in the rugged mountains northeast of the Cinque Terre. Owner Ilaria is the perfect...

We couldn't have had a better stay at La Luna Di Quarazzana! It was a perfect place in a beautiful part of Tuscany. Ilaria & Stefano welcomed us with open arms and pride to their wonderful haven in the hills in Fivizzano where they've re-created a very homely, unspoilt and peaceful environment. They have kept as many of the original...
