Our family of 4 stayed for 5 nights at main lodge. The accommodation and food was excellent, however the game viewing and ranger experiences just superb. Though it was our first Safari as a family, I have done more than 10 similar trips in my mid-20s. Our game ranger (Victor) was friendly, so enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and so good with... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the Main Lodge. We were greeted at reception by Allen, who informed us he would be our Ranger for the duration of our stay, and escorted us up to our lodge. This was a nice first impression of the Reserve. First impressions of our room however weren't as good. We stayed in chalet 10.... More

We spent three nights at Settlers Drift as part of our honeymoon and it proved to be a truly remarkable experience. Great hospitality, great food, great rooms and common areas. But most importantly: the best safari experience that we can imagine. The Reserve has an abundance of altering vegetation zones and next the to be expected Big 5 also loads... More

The safari's in Kariege were incredible. There's a wide range of animals and the property looks fantastic. We saw baby elephants, rhino's and giraffes. The night safari was also really cool. We spotted hippos out of the water. We really recommend Kariega for the safari. The only thing that could be better are the lodges. The main lodges are really... More

The Safari was the greatest thing we've ever seen. It was such an amazing trip. Our ranger was very very good. The Lions were the absolute Highlight in this trip. The accomondation was very nice but little bit old.

We spent two wonderful days at kariega reserve. Our guide Cherlee was excellent. She drove around tirelessly until we saw all of the animals multiple times. She was very familiar with their behaviour which allowed us to get extremely close to all of them. The lodge is comfortable. There was a great choice of food on the buffet for every... More

I stayed four nights at the Settlers' Drift as part of a three-week tour of South Africa. It was our final stop before heading home and it was a wonderful way to finish our tour. The accommodations, food and staff were excellent. Our ranger was fabulous! It is a very scenic safari game park and the variety of animals was... More

This was my second stay at Settlers Drift, having first stayed there last year. It is my idea of heaven. A stunning lodge, with stunning views. Bedrooms that have to be seen to be believed. Wonderful, friendly staff, not least Jo and Phil the managers. A brilliant guide in Louis. I truly can't think of another place to match this... More

Well worth a visit - we really enjoyed the whole experience and would not hesitate to recommend the park to anyone considering a visit to South Africa. The staff were all very pleasant and most helpful and our ranger made the holiday very enjoyable
