Spent 2 nights whilst en route to Durban. Met mein host, Paulie, who was hospitable, informative and a great chef. My room was spacious, spotless and comfortable and quiet. The property is full of indigenous beauty and sadly I didn't have enough time to explore. However, I'll be back.

Intaka is in a lovely bush setting. My sister and I stayed in the free-standing cottage. The views from the verandah are sweeping and the monkeys provided endless entertainment. The cottage is fully furnished and very comfortable. The bird life is stunning as the garden runs into the bush. The lodge has a really nice pool area and there is access to the main house, with plenty of places to relax in.

We were looking for a quiet place to stay not too far away from Kenton-on-Sea and the start of the Cannon Rocks trail with its wonderful sand dunes. That's how we stumbled upon Intaka Lodge. The extra interesting thing about the lodge is its location practically in the Kariega game reserve. The lodge is set in very spacious grounds which give it a lot of privacy. The garden with swimmingpool is perfect to linger and relax. We stayed in the Kingfisher Suite. This is an oversized room, a lot of space to sit and walk around, with a great bathroom. Breakfast was very good with tasty prepared eggs. The hosts were helpful and informative. A little point of criticism: the pool area could have received some more care when we were there.

Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. room was very comfortable and airy. Surroundings were incredibly picturesque!! Very close to Kenton-on-sea if a beach visit is desired but also equally close to game reserves to experience the "Big 5", Tranquil pool area also available if you fancy a day lazing by the pool....
