Posada Máximo is a beautiful old traditional building set in a lovey little village just by the Picos National park. The staff are super friendly and the food was out of this world. The sirloin was to die for. They helped us with everything we needed without hesitation.

I've stayed in Maximo with my couple during two nights. Our plan was to stay close to the mountains, so we could start hiking from the early morning. This place really worked for us !! Apart from the overnight stay, we've eaten there two dinners. The meat served there was delicious! The food is not expensive and of good quality. The family running the business is OK, and they serve the guests kindly ! Really recommendable as a simple bedroom and a good restaurant !

Very welcoming, beatiful old style Spanish decor. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Location was perfect, parking and walking distance to everywhere in Espinama. Just 10mins drive from Fuente De and stunning views

Casa Maximo is a delightful family owned Inn/ restaurant on the edge of Espinama. We chose it as it was convenient for the cable car at Fuente De. It only has about half a dozen rooms and ours was comfortable and like the rest of the property spotlessly clean. It is a traditional inn with lots of polished wood. Our lack of Spanish was not a problem. The restaurant food tended to be traditional hearty mountain fare and the menu del dia gave a wide choice. The house Rioja at 7E a bottle was very drinkable!!!
The hotel was very happy to provide us with a lift up to the cable car so we could do the walk down.
We really enjoyed our stay and felt the hotel provided great value for money.

a lovely village location in the heart of the pecos mountains. the hotel was just right for us nice room clean and bedding changed every day.the hallway was polished every morning too. the menu of the day were very good value and tasty .the only disappointing thing was the breakfast, all in all a very good stop

The Posado Maximo is a well kept friendly establishment ideal for walking holidays. Without exception all staff were welcoming and always willing to help. Half board is excellent value, although the breakfasts are a little basic.The inn should consider adding to the breakfast choice and increase the price to compensate. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Wonderful pousada. Staff, whom i think in the main were all family, were great and very helpful. We ate in the Maximo's restaurant both nights and the food was excellent. Nothing was any trouble for them. The rooms were very clean and extremely comfortable.

The Posada Restaurante Casa Maximo is a small hotel attached to a good restaurant serving good Spanish food. The ambience is great with a bar, where the locals can watch football and a quiet well furnished restaurant where food is served. I was there with a group of friends on half board terms. Breakfast was very Spanish with toast, jam, cold meats and cheese. But they also served cereals when we asked. Dinner was from the daily menu and consisted of three choices of starter, three choices of main course and five or six choices of dessert. Dinner came with water and wine all on a €12.50 menu. Our room was quite small but clean and comfortable. If you want a small, clean and friendly hotel just 3 km from the foot of the Fuentes De cable car I would certainly recommended Casa Maximo

Lovely little hotel. Family run, with everyone going out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our requests were met with a smile and the family went out of their way to meet our needs. Beautiful tapestries on the wall, created by one of the ladies of the house - she was happy to talk about her hobby. Clean towels every day and our rooms were maintained very well. Very generous portions at meal times, perhaps an alternative to chips would have been an idea on some days. A thoroughly enjoyable few days.

We didn't realize this was also a hotel or we would have stayed there. We simply found it for dinner, and were very pleased. The atmoshere was warm and friendly, the food was delicious. We had expected just an OK meal, and instead it was an excellent meal, with the best sangria we had in Spain. The staff was delightful too. This was a surprising experience to find in the small town of Espinama at the Pico de Europa national park.
