This really is a dog friendly pub and guest house. Dogs are more than welcome here. They are positively encouraged! Huge range of ciders too. We only had cheesy chips but the food looked really good. Next time...

My family and Ruby recently stayed here. We were all made very welcome as soon as we arrived. The food was excellent, especially the fish pie. The service was excellent, and Ruby the dog was made very welcome, especially at breakfast, with her sausage.

What a wonderful place! Loads of different ciders, so a happy night for a coeliac who can't drink beer. Free doggie treats and really kind to our dogs.. Lovely, helpful, friendly staff. Really cosy little 'booths' - corners of old, leather sofas where you could be private but also still be part of the atmosphere of the pub, and the...

Spent the weekend here (Feb). Had lunch on our arrival which was a tad expensive (£9 for a prawn baked pototoe)Wonderful array of cider I had a maverick which was cider with ginger and chilli - very good. We also ate in the pub that night. I had steak pie which was good and my partner had the curry which...

Just spent the weekend here 17/18 Feb. Lovely location, very friendly staff. We were made to feel very welcome and fed exceptionally well. Our dog was in doggy heaven with all the cuddles from staff and the special doggy breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

Visiting local land marks and my family of 3 adults and two children under 7yrs, wanted a spot of lunch and called in because it advertised itself as dog friendly. The food is neither expensive or cheap, but it is freshly cooked, well portioned and very tasty. I had fisherman's pie and can honestly say it's the best I've had....

Oh dear, I am not sure what to say to keep upbeat. The cider choices are vast, not sure you would get away with trying everyone before buying as you would have to be carried out. Menu was very uninviting but decided on something and settled down to wait as one would when told all food fresh and home cooked...

Went on my own with my dog. Inside lacked anything to set it apart. Really good range of ciders. Menu not cheap. Chill con Carne was soooo salty I left most of it. Truly horrible. Person sneezing loudly from kitchen area not good either! Bar staff polite but no attempts to make conversation. Would not recommend - better pubs in...

We visit this pub for the occasional lunch time meal. On entering the Lounge Bar the door needs to be kicked to open it as it drags on the floor. This is a long term problem which would very easily be resolved by a man and a wood plane or similar. The noise from the opening door is loud and...
