The outside of this pub does not do it justice. The inside is cosy with a lovely inglenook fireplace. The food being served looked and was really good food and definitely the best mix cheese ploughman's we've ever seen!

Seven of us plus a dog dropped in without booking a table, we were given a very friendly welcome and the landlord soon sorted us a table. This pub offers a good variety of pub food at very good value for money and a good size portion. The real ale too was excellent. Would recommend if you happen to be... More

Had time to kill whilst waiting to check into our hotel in Bickleigh so drove around looking for a quaint village to stop for lunch & ended up in Bampton. Had a look at a couple of other pubs & decided on the Quarrymans, tucked out a bit but as it was pouring & we could park outside the door... More

Stopped here for Lunch today. Good choices and reasonably priced. My Wife had a ploughmans lunch and it was the biggest one we've been served. Scampi was also freshly cooked. Friendly staff and lovely surroundings. The outside appearance doesn't do it justice.

I was looking for somewhere in Bampton to celebrate my Mother's 70th Birthday and the Quarrymans Rest was suggested to us so we thought we'd try it and we are so glad we did. We knew at the time that the new Owners had only just moved in and were building the business up but what they have done so... More

We had heard that the pub had changed hands recently and thought that we would try it out. The first impression when walking in was of a lovely bright bar with real ale from the barrel which I very much approve of. We were made very welcome by Alan, and Richard the owners of the pub.great fun to talk to... More

Came here as I was let down by the next pub along and had a fantastic meal. Spoke to the new owner Richard and his father Allen, they only moved in a couple of months ago, and have done a great job putting things right. Great food and a lovely family atmosphere, they even had fresh flowers on the tables.

Stopping in Brampton for 4 nights Found this pub, lovely food, I had mussels, which were delicious , with a lovely salad, my wife had crab salad , again delicious, the ale was first class too and the landlord, going back tomorrow, good value, did not come up on trip adviser for restaurants, so I hope it does now
