I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Staff are Freindly and reception was very helpful, phoning up tour operators to check pickup times for prbooked trips. Lots of choice for breakfast. A few nearby places to eat and drink. Frequent busses into the city from bus stop outside the hotel. Rooms were clean. Lovely location with mountain views. Free...

We stayed for 4 nights on 1st March and were put in a room on the top floor with velux windows to look out of and one that opened/folded out into a balcony with the most beautiful view of the mountains! - I'd imagine that it would be great to see the northern lights from, even though we did (we...

I booked this hotel for a surprise trip for my husband's 60th birthday. I chose it based on others recommendations on Trip Advisor. I had emailed before arrival to ask for a room with a mountain view in the hope of seeing the lights from our bedroom. On arrival we had been upgraded to one of the upstairs suites which...

We have just come back from a 4 night break in iceland and stayed at the laxnes hotel. Can't fault the hotel always clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The best part of the trip was seeing the northern lights over the hotel on my wife's birthday it was the perfect ending. Would I stay at this hotel...

We took a chance on the homey and down-to-earth Hotel Laxnes. Although restaurant choices are limited compared to the city center (there's a sports bar with some pretty good fish plus the usual fast food chains like KFC near the hotel), the AMAZING views more than compensated for it. The corner room with the balcony gave us a minimum 180-degree...

What an amazing little place. If you are looking for 5* accommodation then stop reading now. However, if you are looking for a hotel that has character, is clean, warm and cosy, serves a decent breakfast and has very welcoming staff then read on. Although the hotel is situated outside Reykjavik it is easily accessible with transfers available from the...

Stayed at Hotel Laxnes for 4 nights, was a really nice quiet location away from the city centre. Rooms are very clean and warm. No traffice noise to worry about. The staff at the hotel could not do enough for us whilst we were there and made things very easy for us.

More of a Motel from the 70's or 80's than a modern day Hotel. We arrived having read reviews previously submitted to trip advisor and I must admit we were disappointed. From the reviews we had expected to find an excellent hotel but what we found could only be classed as Average, dare I say dated. The Hotel Management seemed...

A fantastic, quiet, warm and cosy place to stay just outside Reyjavik, with easy access to the golden circle and highway to the south. Very clean rooms, no noise at night ( with the exception of local traffic) and a host of things that are really nice touches: free pool table, hot tub, complementary breakfast with a waffle machine that...
