Stayed here after going out in Ni-Chome and it definitely met all of our needs. The staff was perfectly friendly; check in was smooth and quick. The room was very clean and comfortable—and a good size for Shinjuku. Location is good—near the train station. Would recommend!

We have previously stayed in other hotels from the APA group so we knew what to expect.

This particular branch is in the heart of Shinjuku nightlife and you are right next to shops, restaurants, bars etc. It is however about 10-15 walk from main Shinjuku station so be warned if you have got heavy bags with you and wanna walk it.

The rooms are small like other japanese hotels. But they are clean with all that you need.

There is Japanese public bath located on site if you are interested in the experience. Its less intimidating for the first timer.

The booking for the hotel was a complex process as staff and client need to enter all
Documents in a e-desk and neither of us could manage that easily...
I must say , the exit process is much easier.
Anyway, once you get into the rooms , it looks small but very sparkling clean ,
Modern and comfortable.
A usual room is the size of 2 double beds, hahah, but it s fine for a few days.
There is a cleaner laundromat 8 mn from the hotel , as
My son mentioned !!!
The best part of Apa hotel is that it is in the heart of shinjuku night life , and still not noisy!!!

We stayed 7 days in July. Very good location, close to Shinjuku station, restaurant and shops, kind and helping staff. We lost our luggages in flight and the staff updated us every day until they finally arrived. Rooms are clean and small (as it is common in Japan) but confortable enough, the bed is a bit too small for two people with blankets too hot for summer. The staff leaves towels and tea, cups, etc. every day at the door so you always get new ones. Rooms are cleaned every three days but you can leave trash bags and dirty towels out of the door and the staff take them away. Laundry machines are only three so always busy and the dryer takes hours to dry properly. Breakfast is good and complete with both sweet and salty food and the kitchen staff is kind, but be aware that if you go late you must queue. The only problem was the strong air con, the breakfast room was too cold for us, same as the bedroom, so we had to keep it off and suffer the heat. It's ok if you are used to strong aircon. The experience in the complex was good.

Small room but clean, comfortable and functional. I LOVE how the bathroom spigot also doubles as the bathtub faucet (Japanese ingenuity). Housekeeping services only done every 3rd day however you can request for towels and toiletries every time. Bed is surprisingly comfortable and you get 4 pillows. Hotel allows you to store baggage in their lobby for free if you need to check out but still want to roam around Tokyo.

Location is great in the heart of Shinjuku with a Starbucks next door and so many convenience shops around (including Don Quixote which is just a 5-min walk away!). However, note that Shinjuku is a red light district so if you have minors (or seniors) with you, you might want to avoid this area.

The experience at this hotel was not very good. The rooms are quite small, but I was aware of this as it's common in Japan. However, what made the experience very unpleasant was the complete lack of customer care from the reception desk to the guests. I requested an iron several times on different days, but the front desk showed no concern for my request, and they lacked empathy towards the guests. It's truly disappointing. When i asked if they could book it, the said no. When i asked if they could call me when they had one available, they said no. At that point i asked how could they help me to solve the problem and the answer was: sorry, i can not do anything.
I can understand if this were a budget hotel, but I don't accept this kind of treatment from a hotel that considers itself a luxury establishment. Such treatment is not acceptable.

Booked myself a Double Room, which I feel was really small to be called that. The twin rooms for the rest of my family was adequately sized

The double bed in my room was very comfortable and the extra pillows were much appreciated. Great amenities in the bathroom although the bathroom was also cramped for me

Location is great, within walking distance to Shinjuku area for food, drinks & entertainment. Breakfast was adequate

The staff were brilliant, helping my family with Takuhaibin service (which was extremely professional and arrived before we did at our next destination)

Horrible experience. Bought hotel rooms almost 3 months in advance for 4 people in Japan. We got the booking confirmation, order summary, order itinerary, and order receipt via email.

When we got to the hotel, they couldn’t find our reservation. After an hour of wasting our time, we eventually found out that Agoda (through Priceline) cancelled our bookings automatically without any notice. They claimed we did not pay despite us having the receipts to prove we did. We could even log in online and see that our booking was confirmed and indicating that it was valid and ready for us to check in. Almost 3 hours of time wasted, and the hotel nor the booking company was willing to do anything…Agoda finally offered compensation of TEN DOLLARS. Absolutely disgraceful.

We were forced to buy new rooms at this hotel AGAIN, at a premium, just to get on with our half wasted day.

I would do everything possible to avoid Priceline or Agoda first off, and I certainly was not impressed with the hotel’s lack of hospitality or understanding. They wouldn’t even honour the original booking reservation.

Room was a bit small - kind of expected for Tokyo - but well distributed. You get clean towels daily & breakfast is varied, both japanese & western, good quality & fresh. People at front desk are very friendly. Only drawback is that there is extra charge/hour for early check in and coffee at breakfast is not great - can grab coffee nearby the station.
