The New (Shin) Takanawa Prince Hotel was designed by Togo Murano, one of Japan's leading architects. Every one of his design concepts from the exterior of the grand banquet halls to the restaurant interiors to the handpicked furnishings all harmonize beautifully, despite their different functions. This is the largest hotel in the Takanawa complex and it is a monument to individuality, décor and functionality. Like its other two counterparts, the New Takanawa Prince sits majestically on the beautifully landscaped grounds of a 10-acre Japanese garden.

Neighbourhood
Shinagawa, Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.

Pleasant hotel with spacious rooms and a location ideal for transport links. Just a couple of issues, no swimming pool and the buffet diner is booked solid every night, so if you arrive tired and just want an easy meal you can't get one here.

Nothing stood out. Our checkin process was an issue, as they booked us into a single/twin bed room (2 single beds), and we requested a king room. We were told that none were available, so we decided to stay elsewhere. Upon this information, they double checked and still none

I have tattoos on my chest and arms Am I allowed to use the hotel pool?
The hotel is really close, just like 4 minute walk to the hotel from the station. You can get the timetable of this shuttle from their concierge service or just call the hotel up.

Limousine bus takes you directly to the hotel entrance from Narita Airport once every hour. It is rather convenient for you than taking a train called Narita Express (NEX) if you have luggage since the platform at Shinagawa-Station is located rather far side to the hotel and the hotel is located about 5~10 minute up hill walking distance from the station. Since there is only 1 bus every hour, you should use NEX if you need to be in time for your appointment as NEX takes 70 minute ride and it is sharp. NEX has 2 times an hour from Narita Airport.
