Located at the base of pine forest of Dhauladhar mountain range ‘Indra Stay’ makes your stay memorable not only for its scenic beauty but also for the comfort of the hotel. We stayed in this hotel during 3 & 4th September 2021. The hotel has total 6 rooms, reception, kitchen and dining room. The rooms are very big, rather it could have been easily divided in to two spacious room. All the rooms have wall-less, full glass window opening to balcony on the front side. The rooms are clean and have all amenities such as wi-fi, TV, tea maker, refrigerator, phone, sofa, chairs, wardrobe, dressing table etc. The bed is 8+ inch thick and has soft quilt. The specialty of the hotel is its bathroom which has movement sensor to light the lamps; remote controlled geyser and automatic toilet seat. The toilet seat especially good for winters, it gets warmed when you sit and has dual jets. The lukewarm water flows through the jet and both the jets gets washed and sterilizes itself. The bathing area is separated within the room and has big shower. Hotel has small kitchen and two skilled chefs. We had tasty and healthy food during our stay and the quantity of the food is more than sufficient. The chef cooked us Trout fish on special demand. The terrace of the hotel has sufficient space for partying. It has tables and raised platform for keeping plates and glasses. The hotel also has sufficient parking space within its boundary. Indra stay is at walkable distance from Bir-Billing market and paragliding landing area. Unfortunately, when we visited it was off-season for paragliding and hence, we could not enjoy the gliding. The tea estate is located just in front of the hotel and pine forest is just few meters away. Next to the hotel there are houses of the villagers which gives you a feeling of staying at home. If you are a birder second or third floor of the hotel is ideal for stay where you can click them at eye level. The birds are usually active during morning time. The front desk and all the staff of the hotel are very cordial and attentive. Overall, it was a wonderful stay at this hotel and certainly I will be visiting this place again. I learnt that the hotel is still under construction, and it will be coming up with more facilities.…
I was looking for a place for staycation from July 3rd to July 10th for a week. Plan was that my wife and myself would work from hotel and my daughter and niece will attend their school classes and we would utilise our mornings and evenings for sure site seeing. After speaking to many people I spoke to Mr Prakash (@ Owner @ Renowned Photographer and a nature enthusiast). This place met all my criteria’s - they have a 100 mbps fibre, ~ 400 sqft rooms to accommodate 4 people at the same time. While I wasn’t sure of stability of internet & disruption to our schedule ..Mr Prakash convinced me that he would ensure there is no interruption …in fact he personally travelled with his wife (Indra Ji) from Shimla to oversee arrangements. At my request he also arranged an additional table, office chairs to ensure we have a comfortable setup. I stayed here for 7 days and I must say Place is spic and span and does not feel like a hotel. Owners have spent an exorbitant amount of money to make this place luxurious. I felt all the fittings and arrangements in the room were exactly like I would prefer in my personal space (even better). While working we faced intermittent internet issues that Prakash ji looked into immediately…in fact by the time I left there were 3 Internet connections that Prakash ji had in place to make sure my working is smooth (BSNL, Air Jaldi and a dongle arranged by him) along with power back ups. Rooms have an a/c as well (certainly not common in Bir) which helps u survive a warm day. There’s a small Fridge to keep ur beer 😀 and other knick knacks cold ( as we were travelling with a 12 & 9 hrs old) Talking about food..it takes time to get food served as they prepare it fresh with industry’s best ingredients (e.g visited kitchen and I saw them using Aashirwad multigrain atta and Amul cheese)….order ahead of time, be patient and enjoy lip smacking food served by the chef (he’s a 64 year old who used to work @ Muscat and Taragarh) Staff is very well trained and polite…it’s been only 12 hrs since I returned from Indra Stay and I’m already missing the place…while leaving the I felt like I was leaving a family…I can’t wait to go back @ Prakash ji and Indra ji - See you soon. Wishing …
