A lush grove of bamboo marks the entrance to Hyatt Regency Kyoto in Higashiyama Shichijo, a leafy district suffused with the elegance of the old capital. Our team of expert concierges carefully curates tours and programs that offer insight into Japanese culture, meeting the needs of business and leisure travelers alike. The Rooms: Modern taste meets traditional style here, with artful hangings of antique kimono fragments and the soft light of paper lamps. The Locale: Even within historic Kyoto, Higashiyama is notable for its rich past as home to the imperial court. The Flavors: Three restaurants offer Italian cuisine, exquisite kaiseki feasts, and grilled specialties prepared in a wood-burning oven. The Possibilities: A 40-meter surround screen and live web-based projection enable event planners to immerse their guests in the experience. The Treatments: Seasoned therapists deliver Eastern healing traditions like shiatsu, acupuncture, and moxibustion at Riraku Spa.

Stayed here on a solo trip. The hotel is beautiful. The service is 5 star. The breakfast buffet in the hotel is great. You must try the Matcha Milk Bread. I’m still dreaming about it. I wonder if the hotel can send me a few loaves to the US. I’m going to ask.

For my first visit to Kyoto 2 years ago, we splurged for a stay at the then very new Four Seasons Kyoto. We would pass the Hyatt Regency numerous times, as the hotels are within walking distance of each other. The Hyatt actually has a slightly better location. The Hyatt

The hotel is extremely central and of a very high standard. No swimming pool, however extremely well laid out room, and the typical exceptional Japanese service. I would not hesitate coming here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights on points. The room was very clean and comfortable. Very quiet except for the occasional ambulance. The location is okay - it’s by a museum and temple, but a good 8 minute walk to the subway. We found getting around pretty easy. Staff was very

Dear Nxs4117, Thank you very much indeed for sharing your recent stay experience at Hyatt Regency Kyoto with fellow TripAdvisor followers. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your two night stay with us and found the guest room clean and comfortable. Although we are not located downtown, so to speak, we pride ourselves on our location being a little off the beaten track, surrounded by some of Kyoto's most iconic attractions; namely Sanjusangendo Temple and the National Museum of Kyoto. As you mentioned, it's an 8 minute walk to the subway, but there are also busses that stop directly outside the hotel for an easy commute down town. Thank you for highlighting the good quality of our Sushi at Touzan Restaurant and I'm pleased to hear our Concierge team made all the arrangements for your dining outside the hotel. We do look forward to welcoming you back to Hyatt Regency Kyoto should your future travel plans bring you this way. Thank you once again for sharing your experience with us. With best regards and safe travels, Robert Robert Hamer General Manager Hyatt Regency Kyoto

There is an email address but Trip Advisor blocks them being sent. If you email kyoto followed by a full stop then regency followed by the usual at sign then hyatt full stop and com That should allow you to ask the hotel direct. Kind regards Jeremy
