Stayed a night. Nice rooms. Very clean. Looks more to a homestay. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The foods was not up to our taste and expensive. The surrounding was with the traditional chettiar palace. Nice and clean village. Good Wifi. Good to walk around in the evening. Relaxing!!!
Kanadukathan is a very interesting village. There are quite a few big mansions and a few of them you can have a look inside. But the other (newer ans smaller) houses here are also special. It seems like everyone here wants to have a special house. And it is quiet here. Which is especially nice if you have been visiting a lot of big cities. Chettinaadu Narayana Inn (or Villas, I think it is the same place) is a comfortable hotel. They have a big dining hall downstairs. This is a very friendly hotel. If something was not quite as we liked, we told them and they did everything to make us happy.
I stayed one night and I really enjoyed my stay. Lunch was great and the breakfast Idly were delicious!... the staff is very kind and they were very helpful getting some of my laundry washed and trying to help me figure out how to solve some issues I had with my phone. Good WiFi and a great location. You can walk around the small village and admire the beautiful homes.
We visited for lunch and ordered meals it was good, i dont suggest to try the biriyani which is just average there, instead you can try veg and non veg thalis which are good and i reccoment to try the chicken 65 and egg podimas
When we arrived at Karaikudi, this is the first place we dropped by to have evening snacks. A good restaurant with attractive tiles (tiles are very attractive among Karaikudi palaces). We had small snacks and tea, but we were surprised to see the bill. The food is quite expensive. But the taste is delicious and typical Karaikudi style.
