I stayed 2 nights in that hostel, that is managed by Chettinadu mansion. I had a comfortable room on the bottom floor, and I was alone. I had all my meals and breakfast at the Chettinadu Mansion, which is a beautiful heritage mansion just 5 blocks away. The management can rent you bicycles and also give you tips on what to visit in the area. Felt super welcomed.

Very quiet place with basic and neat facilities. Rooms are well maintained. And neat washrooms too. Friendly staff and caretaker. Its basically a no nonsense place. You can stay there to explore the quaint little town of Kanadukathan and around !!!

Dear Madam Thank you for staying at Chettinad Packer. The only hostel facility in the area. With this product we do hope to have guests to explore the surrounding heritage regions, nature, quiet walks, cycle rides from village to village among many other activities. In all there are 73 villages and 2 towns in Chettinad. The friendly people can make each day here so happy and calm, as its a quiet rural spread including cool fresh rice fields and fruit orchards, lined with coconut trees. Recently stayed in Chettinad Packers with my baby. The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Big plus was the common kitchen with all the kitchen amenities. Overall felt like a homestay!

Chettinad Packer is a wonderfull hostel in an amazing little village. I felt very much at home and safe in this hostel! The manager Akash is a very friendly and helpfull man. He helped me To book bus and train tickets etc. The swimmingpool that is near the hostel is Also very Nice. The hostel is New and everything is clean. The room for 4 people is a bit small if you stay in there with 4 people. The room for 3 people with private bath is Nice and big. I suggested To the manager To put Some tablets and wardrobes into the room so that you can put your suitcase and clothes somewhere. He said That he will look into that. I can Really recommend this hostel To everyone. I had a wonderfull tome there!!! 🌺🌺🌺

We planned our trip to include some of the most beautiful places in South India, so Chettinad was a must. Kanadukathan was beautiful and we found a nice, cozy hostel, with clean facilities (European made comfortable bathrooms with water heaters) and a friendly personnel. Our host was great, he guided us around Kanadukathan, we visited a couple of the stunning mansions, made sure we got the best of the surrounding attractions and helped us book a car for our next stop. We were pleased with our stay at Chettinad Packers, where not only could we appreciate the unwinding of history through this quiet town, but we could also relax and enjoy.

Got to Kanadukathan quite easily with a bus from Karaikudi. The village is absolutely stunning: the Palace, the mansions, the people. Got to the hostel and found this really friendly guy who showed us around, made restaurant reservations, walked us through the village, sent us to spa and pool and found a friend with a car to get us to Thanjavur ( by the way, he was the sweetest when he called his friend on our way to Thanjavur to ask if we were ok). The rooms and the kitchen are very clean and colorful and the little garden under the coconut trees is beautiful. Thank you so much for everything,it has been great meeting you! Miky

This trip to Chettinad Packer Hostel in Tamil Nadu has been fantastic. The hostel itself has a relaxed atmosphere and there are cool areas such as the tv room to chill out and play board games if you need a rest from the hot weather. There are opportunities to visit wonderful temples, mansions and even gain an understanding about Tamil life and culture. Myself and my sister thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hostel and would highly recommend this hostel especially if you enjoy a laid back travel with lots to explore. I stayed at Chettinad packers with three of my friends last months. We absolutely loved it! Very clean, comfortable and large rooms, great breakfast and Akash who worked there was so friendly and helpful! He gave us loads of useful tips and organised for us to get bikes to cycle around and look at all of the old mansions. We will definitely come back - it was a real highlight of our trip. Thank you!

The common guest kitchen facility can be used for group cooking which can be a healthy activity.
