We stayed about a week at the Palm Villa . It was a wonderful hotel right on the beach in Mirissa. The beach out the front is a safe , protected beach perfect to relax in. The room was basic but clean and spacious. Lovely breakfast right on the beach. We had dinner at the restaurant almost every night we... More

This is a really wonderful place directly on the quiet part of the beach in Mirissa! You can see the sea from the pretty and clean rooms and have breakfast and dinner next to the waves. The food is delicious, there's lots of seafood and various curries and the prices are completely fair. The location is just perfect, the more... More

I don't know what I liked the best; the simple yet cosy and super clean rooms, the staff who were always just genuinely friendly and never over the top, the perfect setting, the massages at the Roots Spa that they work with, the cool ice teas they served or their perfectly chilled G&Ts. Everything was like a perfect hippie-chill-dream. If... More

We are not flash hotel travellers but at the same time we like a bit of old style hospitality and charm. The reviews are correct this is a special place, a lovely retreat from the tourist trail, quiet, except for the sounds of the sea. Yes, it is on the seaward side of the road but you really don't hear... More

Palm Villa was a splurge. We spent almost $50 a night (including breakfast and afternoon tea) for a lovely room about 30 feet from the ocean. Fabulous views, amazing food, and luscious water. Don't miss the Roti House in Mirissa.

We stayed here two nights and the manager organised our whale watching for us. We had a room on the beachside of the hotel. Comfortable bed and nice clean room with a decent bathroom. It was not fantastic value for the room, but fair. Breakfast was included as well as afternoon tea at 4pm - which was very welcome. The... More

We couldn't be more complimentary about Palm Villa. Set within a colonial style building, each room faces the Indian Ocean which sits about 15-20 metres away. The location was perfect, set on the far east side of Mirissa beach with easy access to another, smaller and quieter beach also. The staff were so helpful throughout, particularly the waiters. The food... More

The location of Palm Villa is amazing, right at the beach. It is so special to have breakfast with this view. Breakfast and dinner were both great. The staff is very friendly. It is the perfect place to relax at the beach after all the sightseeing in Sri Lanka.

This is a very nice place to hang out at. Spend few days here, by the beach and the sea. Colonial houses, soft vibes and nice staff make the Palm Villa an excellent choice. Several beaches, a few shops and a good spa near by. Both Galle and Matara within striking distance. We stayed here, two families (children between 8-12)... More

Palm Villa is located on a very nice and private part of Mirissa beach and the building itself is very nice in colonial style. But the hotel is way overpriced. Even in low season the price for a standard double (nice but nothing special) without a/c was $87. And to be honest, except for the view at the sea it... More
