Stayed at SJC for three weeks this past January and it was awesome, this is the best property, its not too big and is easy to get around. the staff made you feel like home and the food and drinks were great . a special shout out to the hardworking water sports crew namely Shane, Bobby ,Al and Strech whose attitude was laughter and fun every day. everyone on staff including bartenders, concierge, dinner reservations, bellman and front desk were amazing and very very helpful throughout. sincerely miss MJ and Lorne.....hope to see you next January
Visited 13 - 20 November 22 for our wedding anniversary (all inclusive) Nice location but let down by shortages of drinks and restrictions on dining Always running out of Baileys and even beer on occasion Staff on reception very poor and individuals around bars etc give it a very poor service Definitely wouldn’t go back
Excellent stay at STJC MB - we got a fantastic deal and an upgraded our room. We were in 5 block which i suspect was one of the best areas to be as its far enough away not to hear any of the evening entertainment, but with a perfect sea view. The watersports guys were fantastic and helped us learn to Waterski and Sail. The Food and drinks were good and the venue / setting is just idyllic. The evening entertainment was ok and we dipped in and out of that. The staff overall were excellent, breakfast buffet was very good and they had a coffee shop for mid morning drinks and snacks / cakes. The all inclusive bars / drinks were good and we tended to go with Rum punches, Piton beer and Pina Colada's which were all good. We went on Joys boat trip - Joy himself is a lovely man who is a self confessed hustler who takes the booking on the beach - a lovely man and his family are the entertainers and hosts for the day. The Joy boat trip took us on 1 hour catamaran trip to Soufre where we went to the hot springs and enjoyed the warm natural baths then covered ourselves in the narutal volcanic silt that was to make us look 10 years Younger! Then onto a natural waterfall before heading back to Joys house for a lovely local home made lunch. Then back to the boat for snorkeling and then a final booze cruise with fun music and a good sign along...everyone had a great day! This is a must if you are to go to St Lucia - look up Joy!!…
We stayed from 9th to the 23rd January and we have no complaints at all. The hotel was clean plus the room cleaned every other day. The staff where very very friendly and helpful and wanted to know our names. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. You have to book the restaurants up to four days in advance any time in the morning which is not a problem. I don't know why people are saying they have to book before 8am. The bar staff are very funny and friendly and went out of there way to do different cocktails. Entertainment brilliant. Clean beach towels every day. Free water sports plus joys tours which you pay for was the best trip we had, you pick the boat up on the beach. 10/10. I think some people just want to complain but we found it a brilliant experience. 👏
We just returned from a great vacation!! ST James Club Morgan Bay is a beautiful resort. Very laid back and friendly staff!! Sam with the activities dept is the best!!! She went out of her way to make our stay lots of fun!!! She does her job very well!!!!! Kainyer from the activity dept also did a great job. The food was good but wish there had been a little more variety of fish in each restaurant. Overall very good. Rooms were nice. Entertainment was excellent, especially the county singer!! We did a catamaran excursion with Queen of the Carnvial to the volcano and water fall. It was nice but watch out for the rum punch!!! Very pretty resort and island!!
Food, every night the food menu never changed when sent to your table cold ,wine very basic you had to book your Restaurant every morning by 8,0clock three days in advance as most of the Restaurant,s were closed Drinks at the pool bar by 5,o’clock were sold out ,evening bar very poor entertainment terrible drinks very bad. The staff were great very kind and friendly room service every other day no water two small bottles on Arrival & no moor , one good restaurant which you had to pay for , we had our anniversary and everything was a shambles cold food sent our food back twice very upset , Room 643 was very good . If it wasn’t for a Manager call Salmar who did so much for us thank you Salmar THINK TWICE before booking this HOTEL Lynn & David Halford January 4th two weeks
This was our second visit to St. James Club and we may have enjoyed it even more than the first, because the familiarity made it feel like home! It is a beautiful property with stunning gardens throughout and a lovely beachfront. The vibe is relaxed. You can definitely dress up for dinner if you like but it's ok to be more casual too. The food is excellent in all of the restaurants, whether you are in the mood for the variety of a buffet, or prefer one of the other four options that offer a menu. Lots of delicious fish and seafood, which we happen to love! The Choc Cafe and BBQ on the beach are also great options for mid day snacks. ALL of the staff are so kind and helpful and go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying every aspect of your holiday. We stayed in an oceanfront room and this entire unit has been renovated since our last trip, making it even more awesome! Joy Cruise is a must do. You will return from this fun filled adventure transformed by the experiences and in love with the island! The Beach Dinner Party every Wednesday night is a very special event and a lot of fun. The staff work so hard to make it a memorable part of your stay at the St. James. Our only regret is that we booked a 7 day stay! We will definitely extend it to 10 for next time!…
e stayed at St James Club for our honeymoon! The staff at the hotel are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing, Morgan’s Pier is highly recommended- we ate there 5 times during our stay and was not once disappointed or dissatisfied with the service despite some guests around us complaining, and being extremely rude towards staff. Before we travelled we read some reviews which had given us doubts about the hotel, my advice to someone reading them is don’t- we ate at all the restaurants more than once and did not have one bad meal anywhere, on occasions sometimes the service was slightly slower but that was as it had become busier (during our second week) but this still did not impact us in anyway. There is always some sort of food place open so you never go without if you are hungry. My husbands fave lunch spot was the bbq hut on the beach, but all lunch options are equally as good! Harold and Chris are incredible mixologists and will be able to make a cocktail to your taste. The water sports are also brilliant! Joys cruise is an absolute must! It was an amazing day from start to finish! Joy on the beach will be able to provide all the information. The staff on the boat are hilarious!!…
This was our first visit to St lucia and the St James Club hotel/resort. Our room was nice if a bit dated but very clean and the beds super comfortable. Our room was ocean fronted on the ground floor. The whole grounds are immaculate with lovely plants and the occasional humming bird. All the staff are the friendliest we have ever encountered and we have stayed in some top hotels all over the world, the St Lucians are clearly very happy people. With 5 restaurants there's enough choice to suit most people. Sadly having been sold the complex is due for total renovation and we fear the charm may be lost. With that in mind I'm not sure we will holiday there again but will keep an open mind. We really hope the staff are kept on and given a huge pay rise, they truly deserve it. The pools were well kept, would highly recommend watching the sunset from the top adult pool it is amazing
