We were 2 couples and had read all the reviews that said it was impossible to find a place to park and people had told us that driving in the 5 towns was next to impossible so we were looking for a hotel away from the crowds in the towns. We were pleased that we found The Saraceno. It's in...

Antonella & staff at Hotel Il Saraceno provide a pristine, serene setting after a busy day of sightseeing in the busy Cinque Terre villages below. Exemplary customer service is just a sampling of what you will get here, along with free parking and a hearty, scrumptious breakfast each morning. Drinks and appetizers on the patio or terrace are the perfect...

We booked Hotel Il Saraceno after looking in vain for hotels in any of the 4 Cinque Terre villages on the water. My recommendation to consider other hotels has nothing to do with the hotel. It is a beautiful hotel, Antonella is a wonderful hostess and breakfast was great. My concerns are due to the fact that you must take...

Antonella was so nice and helpful. She made suggestions for hiking and let us rest on her terrace after hiking before a long drive to our next spot. Location is great right near bus stop and hiking trails. There are a couple of restaurants, but Volastra is mostly a nice quiet place to stay. The only real negative was the...

My wife and I recently enjoyed our three night stay at the Hotel Il Saraceno. Other Trip Advisor reviewers mention the serenity of the IL Saraceno's location in Volastra at the top of the hill above Manarola, Corniglia, and Riomaggiore. A few steps away from the hotel are magnificent views of the three Cinque Terre towns mentioned above and the...

Located in Volastra up the hill from the southernmost Cinque Terre town of Manarola, a short 10 miute bus ride away, this hotel is charming and comfortable with lovely views of the Cinque Terre hillsides. Our hosts Antonella and her husband were charming and extremely helpful. Antonella is quite knowledgeable about the region and will help you with information about...

The hotel is on top of the hill, a 10 minutes shuttle bus drive from Manarola, which is a pleasant experience that most people miss out on. There are two restaurants nearby where you can have dinner. The owner lady is very welcoming and helpful. The room, beds and bathroom are nice and clean. The complimentary breakfast is very good....

We loved it here. The Cinque Terre is so overrun with tourists now, that it was an incredible treat to spend three days in this quiet but gorgeous little town in the hills above Manarola, only a 10 minute bus ride down to the sea. Fantastic, non touristy restaurant nearby (L'Arcobaleno), nice rather simple hotel with a very accommodating host,...

This spot is a little out of the way of the action of Cinque Terre but in the tiny town there is a bus that takes you down to the Cinque Terre towns. We drove up there and there was plenty of parking space. It's best to ride the bus since parking is tough to find close to those towns....

We booked this charming hotel for a twelve-day holiday to visit the area and do some hiking. We found it in a guide book and were not disappointed. The hotel is run by Antonella who really lives for it and the well-being of her guests. The hotel offers 7 simple but very clean rooms, some with a balcony, an espresso-...
