Recreating the flavour of Shahpura's royalty, the original fort is left intact, with much care given to ecological restoration and the reconstruction of new residential areas. Perhaps the only 234 yr old warrior fort that has been converted into a heritage resort. Alila Fort Bishangarh is an unique example of the Jaipur Gharana architecture influenced by both the Mughals and the British. Located at Bishangarh village in Jaipur district, barely 6 km off Delhi-Jaipur national highway, the resort is easily accessible from both Delhi and Jaipur. The drive to Amber fort at Jaipur is only 45 minutes away and Bishangarh is good base to explore Jaipur's innumerable tourist attractions. The resort boasts 59 stately rooms and suites that are designed for quiet indulgence. Each room or suite is individually created to capture stunning views.

Alila Fort Bishangarh has garnered praise for its spotless premises and exceptional service, with staff members delivering personalized attention and a variety of engaging activities. The hotel's spacious and opulent rooms, along with its traditional live music and historical ambiance, contribute to a culturally rich atmosphere that many guests appreciate. While the hotel's amenities and dining options generally receive positive remarks, some guests feel there is room for enhancement, particularly regarding high tea and towels. Although the hotel is seen as providing value commensurate with its premium pricing, a few travelers' expectations were not fully met.

We had stayed at this property to celebrate our wedding anniversary and without a single doubt can say that everything was impeccable. Our checkin was so smooth, thanks to Miss Bondita who took care of all our queries and gave us a property tour with a big smile on her face .Our dinner at Nazara was also an amazing experience because of the live singers and food. The breakfast was at Amarsar, where they have menu where in you can order all exquisite dishes prepared by chef.

We are highly impressed by the hospitality of the team. Special mention of Bondita from front office team, Siddhanth at the restaurant for going extra mile to accommodate our request and Santosh at restaurant for his warm hospitality. Additionally the buggy drivers were just awesome in being kind to stop at multiple points so that my kid can take pics.

My kid wanted to add his feedback too which is —> This place was also kid- friendly property, and the room was the best, Everybody even told that it was the most great room in the whole place, and we agree. So visit this place when you need to Hakuna Matata,

You'll come across a lot of beautiful luxury destinations if you love travelling like me and my partner. Alila Fort though is definitely a class apart. The staff at Alila will be your partners during your stay and help you out with each and every thing that you need.

I just got proposed to at Alila Fort and the overall experience was surreal. The kitchen staff worked beyond dinner and breakfast timings to cater to us and even packed us food and water for our return journey. Our room was spacious and clean and all necessary provisions were provided in abundance. The staff paid attention to tiny details like drawing our curtains when they cleaned up in the evening and even prepared a beautiful bubble bath, bed decorations and congratulatory cake as compliments. I even asked for a concealer and the staff arranged for it out of nowhere!

The Spa at the fort is a must try as well.

There's nothing I can think of which I did not absolutely love during my stay at Alila and would recommend it to everyone.

We recently spent 3 nights at the ALILA Fort Bishangarh. Everything about our stay was fantastic! When we arrived to check in we were greeted with a cool drink and music by local Rajasthsni musicians. The colorful costumes of the musicians added to the unique nature of the arrival process. After enjoying the view of the imposing, historical fort from below, we were whisked up to our rooms in the fort via electric golf carts.

Our room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom amenities were perfect. The views out the windows of the surrounding countryside were outstanding. Each day we found an assortment of delicious local snacks in our room when we returned.

We tried all of the restaurants and enjoyed everything we had. A special treat was dinner on the roof with traditional Rajasthani cooking and musicians serenading us.
We also enjoyed our breakfasts. Our waiter, Aditya, was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu. We tried a number of Indian breakfast items based on his recommendation and that added to the authenticity of our experience.

We participated in many of the experiences offered by the hotel. A camel cart ride through the village, a tiger safari, archery, cricket and a tour of the kitchen garden. All of the staff were gracious and patient with us as we tried the local activities. My wife used the spa and enjoyed a very unique oil treatment for her “third eye.” And the high tea in the afternoon was delightful- a delicious array of sweet and savory treats to accompany our tea.

Staying at the Alika Fort Bishangarh was truly a unique experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the local culture while relaxing at a historic, luxurious resort.

When a property is pitched as a fort-resort, and bears the Hyatt brand you are expecting (1) well trained staff (2) top-notch hospitality (3) good food and (4) comfortable and spacious rooms.

Alila only got (4) right, and that's not something they can take credit for. One observation re: resort properties is that when the GM is around and hands-on, things automatically fall into place. The GM of this property is missing in action. As a result, you have a bunch of clueless semi-trained staff trying desperately to keep it all together.

From extra mattresses being stocked in corridors in front of the room, to shabby upholstery, faded dhurries, to housekeeping forgetting to refill the dubious-looking unbranded bottles of soap and shampoo such that you realise they've run out only when you're in the shower, to intercoms that don't work...the list is endless.

The towels in the spa haven't been put out in the sun for ages - they are damp and stink of oil. The staff said we've escalated this to the GM after clients have complained, but no steps were taken.

The "fine-dining" restaurant on the terrace serves a buffet. Nowhere in the world will reheated food qualify as fine dining. The multi-cuisine restaurant tackles a lion's share of the pressure, and the wait staff simply can not handle the overflow. They are running around like headless chickens trying to somehow keep it all together, with clearly no senior managerial level person guiding them or tackling guest complaints.

We pointed out on the very first day that the food was crazily over-spiced, rich, floating in oil (Indian dhaba-style), and was simply not something we expected. We were assured that they would ensure the food was mildly spiced and flavourful. The instructions were promptly forgotten, and in the next meal, we were again served a bowl of deep red curry with ghee dripping in rivulets from all sides. I called the chef and said I wanted the Asian meal in a bowl to be with steam rice and the chicken and veggies cooked with no coating - whether cornflour or otherwise. Chef said he'd make a ginger garlic broth with just salt and pepper. 15 min later, I get a dish coated in cornflour! It's almost like I didn't have a conversation. Something as simple as papad was forgotten and was brought along with the finger bowls when the meal was over. I kept trying to tell them not to overboil the tea such that it formed a thick black film in the cup, and yet I couldn't get them to get it right over 4 attempts spanning breakfast and evening tea.

Highly recommend! The staff here is amazing and always so helpful! The staff member that was assigned to us was named Sakshi and was so warmhearted and hospitable. The biggest drawbacks were just that it is about an hour away from the city and the food is ok but not great (just not much variety). The property is amazing and when the weather is good, going out on the grounds is an excellent pastime. The rooms have a great atmosphere and are so clean with many amenities. There were many activities for kids and adults to enjoy. Our favorite activity was the bikes because there were all different sizes and plenty of room to ride around. The spa was wonderful and so relaxing. They are very environmentally conscious; the provided toothbrushes and combs were made from bamboo and the water bottles are not made from plastic. We had a lovely time here and hope to come again! 😁

Very over rated property. Went for the new year weekend and we had a compulsory “Gala Dinner” which was very very expensive for the kind of food and drinks served. The food was so poor in taste, specially vegetarian. Cocktails were bad.
The hotel staff is also not very hospitable. Very cold. Anything you ask for room service takes 1 hour to come. The room cleaning was also very average with no towels refreshed till night after 2 reminders, used cutlery and bottles not picked up, and not changed either.
Have been to many other heritage properties like Suryagarh, Narendra Bhawan, Oberoi properties and the experience here was not close to what it was there.
In terms of service, food and overall experience.
Won’t recommend.

The restored and converted fort is a unique experience that catapults us back in time when the Indies were terrorized by all kinds of warlords. This unique experience can be divided into different parts. The reception committee, the accommodation experience and the meal part. Everything was perfectly orchestrated by our personal assistant Shakti, who made us as comfortable as possible. The beautiful room is (at least for us) the first time that we were accompanied with such overwhelming enthusiasm to a royal suite, a spacious apartment. Dinner, as well as breakfast, were heavenly, and presented with great care to the dreamy tones of a local band. The view appealed to the imagination, probably also because of the Diwali festivities, which we experienced with an offering on site in the fort.

I had a lovely 2N/3D stay at the stunning Alila Fort Bishangarh in September 2022. It is a 4-hour comfortable drive from Delhi.
We had the warmest welcome on arrival and were greeted by Mr. Abhishek who took care of everything for us for the next three days. It is a fort converted into a stunning hotel. We were given the property tour by him and were informed about the various activities available for us to do here. He was extremely helpful to us all the three days, super quick in arranging everything for us and he made sure that we had the most comfortable and fun stay.
Our room was on the 8th floor and it was beautiful and spacious. The best part of the room was view of the Aravallis and beautiful greens as far as the eyes can see. Another thing that I was glad to come across was that the property is absolutely plastic free.
I thoroughly enjoyed all the meals at their various restaurants offering a plethora of cuisines but the highlight for me was definitely the authentic Rajasthani dinner at the gorgeous roof top restaurant ‘Nazara’. It has a lovely ambience with candle-lit tables and live rajasthani folk music/singing. Mr. Pratik and his lovely team went out of his way to serve us the best meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner and his recommendations were all spot on. The ‘Rajasthani Thaala’ is a must have for breakfast!
The pool area is ideal for lounging and it has a beautiful view of the Aravallis at one side and the magnificent fort as the backdrop at the other side.
The lady (whose name I unfortunately do not know), who helped us check in and checkout was extremely hospitable and warm taking us through everything with a lovely smile on her face.
All in all, we had an amazing stay at the Alila. Every nook and corner of the property is beyond stunning which is made even better the most hospitable staff. We shall definitely be back!

Wow! What an amazing adventure! Just like magically stepping back into time! The road there was a little bumpy but well worth it. It's set at the foot of a little village. It use to be a warriors fort built 233 years ago! So cool. When you arrive you are welcomed by local musicians and small food and drink. We were traveling with my 82 year old mother in law and she had no troubles moving around the premises. We upgraded to the Regal Suite, amazing. My husband messaged them that it was my birthday and they had arranged for a cake and bubble bath upon request! My MIL stayed in the heritage room which was also very nice and spacious. We dined on the roof top terrace where the meals are prepared over sandpits and open fires. There was a live local band playing traditional music. Under the starlight it was enchanting. Before we were finished with dinner we messaged Saurabh to draw the bubble bath, which was ready upon our arrival back to the room following dinner. It was so awesome, what a wonderful treat! The next day we woke up to the sound of a flautist playing. After a well appointed breakfast we went on a long camel cart ride around the permitter of the fort and through the local village and then took the organic farm tour. All activities to choose from such as kite flying, badminton, ping-pong, archery and many more are complementary with your stay. This is a bit far from the city center, that being said I would definitely stay again. It's unlike anywhere we've stayed before (and we travel extensively). The staff went above and beyond. Saurabh was the best and made sure our trip was special. When we checked out we got a small parting gift, a small round vanity mirror with hand stitching on the other side.
