Stayed for business. Loved the room, which was large, really well furnished and had those little things that make a difference, for instance, plunger coffee, a sink in the room that you could fill the kettle from (so annoying when a kettle is provided, but you can't fit it under the tap!). A wee packet of tissues in the bathroom,...

We spent 25 days in this hotel out of a 31 day stay, and couldn't fault it. The rooms were clean, had plenty of space and everything needed, iron, hair dryer and kettle. All the staff from those who cleaned the rooms right up to the manager were kind and caring, nothing was too much for them. There is a...

As a regular guest I always enjoy the homely atmosphere at the Angus Inn. The same staff seem to stay fpr years which is a good sign they must be happy. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and despite being in the middle of town noise levels are good. Excellent Restaurant, free parking and...

We stayed here as we had an appointment at Hutt hospital. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Restaurant surroundings were pleasant and the food was beautiful. The only suggestion is where the shower is over the bath a handrail be provided. While not always needing a disability shower the aging baby boomers do need a rail to assist safe getting...

I stayed here for work. While the staff are pleasant, my room and the general feel of the hotel was tired and dated... it felt like I'd stepped back into the 1980's. My room was pale blue with a sink in the bedroom, the bathroom was dated and the carpet felt cheap. The bed was comfortable though. The decor outside...

We stayed here because Wellington City was "Fully Booked", it is about 30 min drive from downtown and there are no hotels in-between. It is a basic motel, but very clean which is important. Skip the breakfast, it was awful. Tip for traveling to Wellington, "Book Early"

I'm sure the Angus inn has served many travellers over the years but this place is in desperate need of a spruce up. Rooms are clean and tidy but decor is old and very tired. There is NO AIR CONDITIONING which is a problem if you are on the ground floor and are loathe to keep your door open at...

I can't say I was enthusiastic about my impending trip to Lower Hutt. Even less so about a hotel called "The Angus". It didn't help that my colleagues kept saying "it's not that bad". I wasn't sure what we were comparing it to. Upon arrival at the hotel, my fears were allayed. "The Angus" isn't "that bad". It's actually quite...

This place is across the road from one of the largest shopping malls in the southern part of the north island. This hotel is good value for money. It's what you'd expect for the price you pay. The staff are friendly and helpful. I found that parking involved some juggling due to their conference centre. Being that we booked two...
