An early summer break to Cornwall... we went for a relatively cheap, family friendly hotel with no preconceived expectations. The room we had was very spacious, two double bedrooms with a large open plan lounge / dining area. At first inspection it seemed perfectly pleasant enough. However, we soon realised that the beds were very creaky so every movement woke...

We'd tried to visit Port Isaac that day, but a torrential gale put an end to that. Found the nearby, wonderful Poldark Inn, and spent the rest of the day (and that night) in a warm cozy environment. Clean, up-to-the-minute room, delicious food, and very friendly and kind hosts.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights recently the outside gives the wrong impression. The welcome was warm and friendly, we were shown to our room which was very clean and airy with a clean bathroom. The bar area is a 70's throwback but clean and with good prices, ales good. Food was excellent good simple pub food well...

I have just returned from a short break at this establishment and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is perfect for the places we wanted to visit, Padstow, Port Isaac and Tintagel. The room was very nice and was bigger than I was expecting. They allow dogs to stay which is perfect as we took our...

We spent 4 nights at this hotel, on arrival we were a bit surprised that the outside looked a little unloved. However we could not fault the inside at all. The décor throughout was very bright & friendly including the owner & staff. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean and laid out. Breakfast was excellent good choices, the...

My family and I stayed at the Poldark Inn as an overnight stop on the way to a cottage we were renting for the week, as we wanted to avoid the weekend traffic. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived and showed us straight to the rooms we had booked, which were very pleasant. We headed out for the...

Having driven past the Poldark Inn a few times during our stay and not being that impressed by it, we decided to try its restaurant when we couldn't get a table at another local pub. On walking in, I nearly walked out again! The decor took me back to my childhood in the 70s. However, I noticed the sweets board...

We decided to stay here for a few days after our holiday in the Scilly Isles. We had a friendly welcome and shown personally to our room and shown round. I can't remember that service ever before, how nice. The room and especially the bathroom was pristine. I'm sure the bathroom must be fairly new. The bed was the most...
