Hotel Himalaya House is a boutique hotel situated right on the River Lidder foreshore in Laripora, with beautiful views of the surrounding pine forests and mountains. Laripora is 5 minutes by taxi or a 20 minute walk into the centre of Pahalgam. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, cable TV and WiFi internet access are also available. Hammocks, beautiful garden and a deck overlooking the river are all available for guests to use.Here is where you can enjoy your meals by the stream, bask in the spectacular view of pine forests and mountains, and simply relax. You may wish join our guided walks or treks, led by experienced in-house guides, to experience Pahalgam's beauty up close.We are a family-run establishment that started welcoming guests in 1997. It is our sincere hope to share Pahalgam's unparalleled beauty with the world and for our guests to experience the true Kashmir culture. We are glad to say that many guests are now friends. We have since grown, and recently upgraded our rooms and facilities. But our mission remains the same - to ensure that our guests feel at home and have wonderful memories of their stay with us. Uniquely placed right on the banks of the kidder river, making it an ideal place to relax with the sound of the white water rapids. The place has made a turnaround with a facelift and upgraded its facilities to star comfort! I recommend starting with a cup of tea on the picturesque private porch on the river.

Fantastic hotel and view. The hospitality of Neelofar and Nusrat is really good. Food was excellent and rooms was clean ..we recommend this hotel to my friends and family .Rooms are with good view

If Kashmir is paradise on earth than Pahalgam is its most blissful abode One of the reasons for our statement is the location, atmosphere & service experienced by me and my family at the Himalaya House Pahalgam On our way from Srinagar and driving for around 7 minutes after crossing the main Pahalgam town the driver turned into a very thin lane and stopped outside an old building façade which said Himalaya House. The compound-less tiny entrance seemed a bit disappointing. Never judge a book by its cover we realized because on crossing the threshold we were pleasantly surprised as it opened into a massive space with the entire hotel complex in the background, a huge garden area and a stream running thru the property. Mr. Iqbal the senior manager was there to personally greet us. A jovial & jolly man whose perpetual laughter could make any mood lighter. It was this comforting attitude of his during the pre-visit telephone calls that was entirely responsible for us opting for this hotel. On touring the complex we were amazed at the 360’ view of the snow clad mountains clear blue skies and the Lidder River running at the end of the open grounds. The same view was even visible from our log cabin styled spacious and clean room. They have even built a deck on the river to enable one to sip their tea or coffee with only the sound of the water and the silence of nature Along with the personal attention of Mr. Iqbal, the housekeeping & room service team of Mr. Rasool and his boys were extremely prompt and helpful . Even the Wi-Fi indoors & outdoors was not a problem and electric blankets under the bed were already arranged. The Chef was very obliging with the food being a bit spicy but very tasty. Away from the commercial hustle bustle of Gulmurg this was so unbelievably beautiful and peaceful that we decided to stay an additional day just to enjoy the unreal. Nothing is perfect. So travellers during their limited stay rather than looking for flaws should just enjoy the fleeting moments of near perfect bliss at this unique property to treasure as memories. Would definitely recommend this property to one & all and most surely take a trip specially to Pahalgam just to stay at this Hotel. Eldee…

I visited this property march 2021 with my family.it was a pleasure staying at this property , Which is five minutes walking from main town pahalgam . Himalaya house is a nice hotel with excellent food and services.They offered us complementary breakfast and heating blankets which made our stay more cozy . Also the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced.over all the experience was brilliant and enjoyed.

A truly stunning setting, the river flows through the property, Beautiful gardens and mountain views. Early snowfall made the setting into a winter wonderland. The owner constantly checked my comfort levels, providing a heater to warm the room. Large room with a balcony, clean and very comfortable. Despite the current situation in Kashmir, delicious food was provided for all meals. I also stayed at this hotel in June and it was equally beautiful in the summer months. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

I stayed for a night in this hotel with family. Though I will as offered an upgrade, but found rooms to be dirty, not clean, without drinking water. The stay was including was with breakfast, however their kitchen was not operational and therefore had no food to offer. After multiple request, they arranged few items which were okay. Only thing fine with hotel is view. Clearly not recommended.

This quaint little hotel is perfect for a family's stay at Pahalgam. While the rooms aren't luxurious, they are nice and quaint, and are good enough for the cost. The best part about this hotel is the absolutely beautiful location, right by the Lidder river. There's also a sweet deck that has been built by the hotel to enjoy the river flowing beneath your feet. Can spend hours here in peace!
