The Balcony view was stunning, food was amazing and the food court was very ambient, courteous staff like Musharraf and Ashiq enriched our stay greatly. The room itself was quite ambient too with good design that kept the outside noises out. Overall a very good and value for money experience.

Awesome stay at the Chinar, the service is awesome and managment is really helpful. Wonderful and clean room Loved the hospitality of Pradeep and Kamal Singh(head chef) shout out to Kamal Singh, I could see him taking care of each customer and his food is delicious some really unique recipe. The Chinar is a beautiful resort slightly away from Pahalgam Market and on the opposite banks of the Lidder River in a quiet and peaceful location. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and made with attention to small details, we three girls were sharing a room and appreciated the two dressing mirrors, more than enough space for accommodating luggage made room feel extremely spacious and tidy. We were mighty pleased with the premium room as this was one of the most spacious rooms we got on this entire trip. Each room has a cosy balcony with an amazing view of the Himalayas, Lidder river and the beautiful local houses. Sunrise View evey morning from behind the mountains reminded me of the drawing we made as kids. The resort has a spread of two level lawn area with some comfortable seating provision where we enjoyed some hot snacks on those wintry cold evenings. The reception staff Manzoor, Tarique, Raahil were very helpful. The restaurant staff is good too….menu planning needs some thought though and supervision. One evening they had just one veg dish Nadru Yakhni and dal in the buffet and quite a few non veg items that was slightly unthoughtful but they realised the mistake after an uproar from vegetarian guests and made up big time next evening with an amazing spread and delicious buffet. F&B manager was kind enough to check that all was good. A special mention to the bell boy Shahid and staff Javed both are really helpful and gave good service with a smile always. The one area that can improve slightly is the reservation system it feels like it is being handled manually. Overall it's a lovely resort and we had an amazing three nights stay and I am sure the view in spring and winter will be awesome at The Chinar Resort and Spa.

We stayed in Chinar for 3 nights and had a horrible experience. This hotel is not worth the price they are charging, from our room balcony the only view we had is of an under construction building which is coming up right next to Chinar. During daytime, there was no peace inside the room as construction noise kept coming. There was no breakfast buffet (excuse given - limited occupancy), even their spa was not functional. We were travelling with toddlers, when we requested for milk in the evening, they ran out of milk supplies. We found a live earthwork in our room. AC in our rooms were not working and they had kept a table fan as replacement. The GM ( Raghunandan) is utterly irresponsible and arrogant, when we shared our concerns with him, he kept making excuses. Overall, we felt it's an overhyped hotel which is swindling money from first time visitors who get fooled by reading paid reviews online. Everyone should avoid staying at this property at all costs.

Good ambience. The south indian dishes were fine. Dinner needs improvement as some basic items were not tasty. Some items like masala chai felt expensive as part of room service. However overall I would recommend for a good and pleasant stay. Mr. pradeep, Umam, Ajay and Aftab played good hosts .

Checkin was done ver fast and without any hassle. Rooms are spacious and most importantly, temperature is controlled aptly, making stay comfortable. Service is also very fast. We ordered for extra bed and Mr Feroz provided very quick service. Extra bed was provided at shortest time. Food quality and spread can be improved.

Our stay at this place was very smooth.. all of the staff was very cooperative. Aaqib shah left no stone unturned to take care of our kids . From food to milk to entertaining them. We felt very happy to get food served in our rooms if we didn't feel like going to the restaurant and eat by Parvez Musharraf. Lovely stay.. comfortable place. Helping people. Chinar Resort and Spa is one of the best hotel to stay in Pahalgam. The resort is located in a calm place where you can enjoy the real vibe of Nature. The staff is very cooperative and Friendly especially Owais Gull . Arif Ahmad and Irshad Ahmad . The food of their Restaurant is very tasty and hygeinic. The rooms are valley facing with a great view of the Valley and Lidder River. The hotel had a beautiful lawn where you can enjoy Badminton and Cricket. We recently booked 2 superior rooms, as we wanted larger and spacious rooms.Bathrooms were Clean and good. All Superior rooms had an Excellent view of mountains.Decor of the hotel was just basic.
It had only one restaurant, in which the Ala carte menu food was good, but the breakfast buffet was just ok, afew food items were cold in the buffet. The restaurant staff was kind, but there was abit of mis - management on part of the restaurant staff because we had ordered in-room dinning when we checked-in at the hotel and then at the time of check out, they were clueless of this order and I had to remind them the in room menu(food items) I ordered and then I reminded them that I had to pay them for this.
We had a sleepless and disturbed night, as the the thermostat of Air Conditioner of my room was not working at night.Thus I had to open the balcony door for cooling in my room and for fresh air.But due to this I had mosquitoes in my room which was really bugging.
And when I complained about this to the person at reception, they were giving me lame excuses for this, and they did not have any regrets about inconvenience caused to guests.
As regards the location, there were no shops or eating outlets near by.
So our stay experience was not Satisfactory and not as expected.
