We spent one night at this lovely little guest house not far from Cape Agulhas. It's an attractive place with a nautical decor. Our room was upstairs and we had a lovely view of the sea from the corner windows. The place is very clean and the staff are super helpful and friendly. We arrived a bit early at 1...

Situated at the southernmost tip of Africa, this hotel is located about a kilometre from the fishing harbour. The receptionist/manager was very helpful and the rooms were spacious and had character. Cape Agulhas is one of the places where you visit once, and one of our memories is the very pleasant stay at this hotel.

We visited again in early December 2016. We thought that nothing could be better but it was. Christine manages this hotel in an excellent way. Her new assistant and old staff are all also fantastic. I own a 4 star establishment and I came home and TRULY copied something new that Christine had done. Well done to the Mermaid !!!!

The room we had was quite small and had a minute bathroom. However it was well equipped (including a fridge and aircon), pleasantly decorated and with a good bed and shower. Good breakfast in a pleasant breakfast room. Nicely located just off the main road. Poor wifi but we were told the ISP was being changed so it is probably...

We could not fault the beautiful room and facilities at this guest house and we enjoyed an excellent breakfast, served by very friendly staff, on each of the mornings we were there. Our only criticism was that other guests were playing loud music and using the pool past midnight with no thought for other people. Maybe this is more of...

A very good alternative to staying in Port Agulhas, only 5km from the lighthouse and rocks etc and across the road from a beautiful beach. It was too windy to swim, but watching the kite surfers provided much enjoyment instead. The room was clean and well appointed and had its own bathroom. Helpful tips from the staff and the breakfast...

Thank you Christine and the staff for going out of your way to make our stay amazing again. My boys and I will definitely be coming back a third time and probably more. Breakfast was delicious and James was great with mixing and match orders for my little boys who are picky eaters, they gobbled up the breakfast, big thumbs...
