We visited the Ballyliffin hotel using our Groupon voucher. We had to cancel our first date but had no problems with the hotel to arrange a new date. We arrived early & a very helpful young lady checked & found our room had not been used the night before & we could check in straight away. The room was clean,...

Our visit was arranged at short notice to attend a funeral. The management and staff went out of their way to accommodate visitors at all times of the day. A good proportion of the guests were attending for the same reason and we heard nothing but compliments about the staff going the "extra mile" and they seemed to sense what...

booked in 10th nov 2016 for 1 night for our wedding anniversary. Although rated 3star our whole experience was 5star right from the initial greeting right through to our departure. Food was fantastic as was the Guinness(according to my husband). Special recognition to Madeline on reception and bar/restaurant,she made us feel so welcome and had a great personality. Will be...

Stopped here on several occasions, originally choosing this hotel over the others because it is family owned and run and wanted to support local businesses. Rooms are modern enough and are what you would expect of a hotel of this rating even if a little dated. It can be very seasonal and I think they are kept going with the...

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night for a wedding. The night before we stayed in the Ballyliffin Lodge (a 4star) and the beds were comfiest, the breakfast was tastiest with more selection and the Craic was better in the Ballyliffin hotel. I actually spent the evening before the wedding in the Hotel bar with my friends and... BRONAGH...

When we arrived it was dark so didn't see much of the area. Sunday evening and the place was heaving, children running around and the restaurant was full. We had made our booking through an online discounter and although the hotel was clean, staff friendly and the room lovely we wondered what we had let ourselves in for. Dinner eaten,...

We were given a 2-night break at this hotel as a present for our wedding anniversary in August and had been looking forward to it for a long time. Hotel is easy to find once in Ballyliffin; there's not much to the village itself. When we arrived we were greeted by the receptionist and check in was efficient and friendly....

Stayed here for 1 night in March. Room was clean, bed comfy and breakfast was good next day. It was ideal for us as we had a wedding in a hotel nearby so it was really just a bed and breakfast we required.

I booked this hotel through a Groupon deal & after reading other reviews did not have great expectations, how wrong was I...... We had requested a twin room with sea view if possible, on arrival the owner explained that all the sea view rooms were doubles but he allocated the next best, a side sea view. You had to crane...
