We spent one month at Aochalong villa in December 2021. Excellent hotel with two beautiful swimming pools : one in a beautiful tropical garden and one with sea view. The staff is very nice and helpful, starting with ther manager. We are looking forward to coming back. Good price for money too.
I stayed here with a few friends in January. The staff were so accommodating and very helpful. We were dropped off and picked up from different excursions with extremely reasonable prices. Had a lovely peaceful stay here would definitely recommend! Also just a big thank you to all of you as staff and hope you’re well! This is from the ‘girl band’ haha! Wishing you all the very best.
My husband and I have just spent 2 weeks at this hotel Do not take any notice of any feedback which is not in the last year or so as it seems to have changed a lot with the current owners. It is an old quaint property which dates back a number of years but is clean, quiet and well managed. The resort is on the sea front with lovely views of moored boats but is not for swimming as is shallow with sand which makes your feet sink so dangerous. It is out of the way so do not book it if you want to be close to a busier environment! It is within 15 minute walk of Chalong centre where you will find restaurants and shops - search the restaurants on Trip Advisor as they were accurate for us. The breakfast doesn’t really change in its food offered but the value for money is outstanding. It’s basic but nice. The staff are great, the rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and bedding and there is shower gel and hair shampoo also provided daily. The pools are lovely and often have the fresh flowers floating in them from the trees - the gardens and trees are beautifully situated and swept what seemed like every minute of the day - they are tended to all the time and look really lovely. The general food menu is large and the quality of the food is truly beautiful. The drinks are more expensive there as you would expect but you can buy from the shops and store in the in room fridge. The air con is sufficient and works well. Whenever we wanted a taxi the staff obliged without hesitation - worth the money as the roads are fast and full of motorbikes and cars which makes for tricky driving. Really a truly peaceful place - out of the way and highly recommended !! …
I read the reviews...and they weren't great. But the location seemed right, the price wasn't bad and I couldn't find anything with better ratings in Chalong, so w went for it...and it was excellent. We were very happy. Beautiful sea views (but the beach isn't great and didn't appeal to swim there), staff was mostly helpful, but there were some communication challenges. Room (108) was large and comfortable (but the shower wasn't great). And it's a bit off the main road and there isn't much nearby...still, I'd definitely consider staying there again.
Nice place to stay but overpriced compared to others in the locality. Worn out cheap rooms trying to be chic, tiny tv and they even charge you if you accidentally break a glass in the room, restaurant straight out of the seventies with terrible euro pop piped music, food overpriced, Thai food was reasonable the American burger would shock any American and drinks at European prices ants crawling all over the tables, this is a 2 Star hotel with 5 star prices.
We had started our holiday in Melacca, Malaysia, and were very happy with our budget accomodation until we moved on to Kuala Lumpur. The apartments we had booked were dirty and did not have enough beds for our group. The previous occupants' discarded foodstuff was still in the refrigerator. So we were naturally very cautious when we arrived in Phuket at Aochalong. However, our concerns were allayed immediately when we entered the courtyard. We were met by beautiful surroundings and delightfully welcoming staff. Throughout our stay we were generously attended to and every request was patiently considered. Our group (16 adults of which the eldest is 81 years old and the youngest 22 months old) had a fabulous time in the swimming pools, at the beaches, in the courtyard. And the beautifully designed rooms were air-conditioned, meticulously prepared and made up every day. The restaurant staff was friendly and even with the different languages, we were treated with courtesy. The breakfast buffet could perhaps be changed every third day. For long stays (we stayed for 6 days) it becomes boring to have the same food every day. All in all, I would recommend Aochalong to everyone who's interested in great quality and professionally run establishments. Thank you, Aochalong staff🙏💐 Zuraida from Cape Town, South Africa (Room 305)…
The rooms are nice. It's very hard to sleep though, because the air conditioning is built in the roof and is very loud at lowest level. After turn-off the outside part from neighbour's I also very loud There is a lot of Chinese here (90%), who start yelling and making noise at around 7 AM every day for 30 min. Before they go on their tour bus. They are so loud, and no staff I telling them to move. Even though it is 10-20 people in the middle of the hotel. YELLING for 30 min. The breakfast is a medium.
I stayed for 4 nights here on a bed and breakfast basis. The staff were super friendly and the food was fantastic, some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had! The air conditioning in the rooms was not cold enough but it was very humid. This however, did not spoil my trip! Pools were fantastic and the views of harbour very pretty. Recommended if you are wanting to stay somewhere authentic in Thailand :)
Me and my boyfriend stayed at Ao Chalong Villa and spa for just over a week and had a perfect time. All facilities are spotless and staff are lovely, especially Steve who was amazing in helping us get to know the area and helped with any concerns we had. Location is beautiful and if we are ever in Phuket again we will be sure to stay again :)
Absolutely wonderful property. 2 swimming pools, 1 facing the harbour and see and the second one much larger and with plenty of shade if it's too sunny. Big lovely villa with a huge comfortable bed and a nice sitting room with fridge and kettle. There is a tuk-tuk available to the main road at request and it is very accessible to everywhere by scooter. They also have a shuttle service to Kata beach 3 afternoons a week. The property is right on the seafront with steps down to the water but further on out there are boats and there is not much beach. The pool has plenty of sunloungers and umbrellas, some around it and some on the deck facing the sea. Staff were very helpful, all requests were met, food at the restaurant was great and Steve the manager made our trip really easy. Very helpful and generous with his time. Looking forward to staying here again.…
