Here are the most memorable highlights of my stay at TJ Ranch: 1) Sleeping in the screened casitas with open windows listening the sounds of coqui frogs and screech owls. It’s a little like being in an African tented camp--without lions roaring outside, of course. 2) Delicious and tasty meals served in an open air dining facility with views of...

We recently stayed at TJ Ranch for a couple days on a recent visit to Puerto Rico. We were ready to leave the very touristy area of San Juan and enjoy the contrast that a visit to a mountainous area provides. Upon arrival, we immediately felt relaxed and began to soak up the beautiful sights and sounds that this area...

Fascinating place, excellent food (by all means, try the octopus with the creole sauce!). Very, very nice hosts. If you are looking for a nice retreat, look no further. I don't remember sleeping this well in a very, very long time. Enough said.

I have been a frequent guest at TJ Ranch and I am always excited to go back. From my first visit years ago I had the impression of staying with old friends. I don't have enough words to describe Tony's and Juanita's hospitality. Tony is a superb chef and Juanita is the perfect hostess. This is the best place to...

The food delicioso. The hospitality fantastico. The grounds beautiful. If you like to experience a true Puertorrican Casa de Campo (farm)look no further this is the place for you to stay. Accomodations are confortable and clean. If you want to get away this is the place to go with no tv and wifi in your room. Juanita and Tony are...

Our family just loved this place. Even our 14 year old daughter. Some highlights: Getting there is part of the fun too because you feel like you are escaping reality. The food was great. Juanita and Tony are real characters in a good way and fun to hang around with. They were very accomodating and helpful in every way. The...

The three days we were able to spend at TJ's were rejuvenating and unique. During the day it is possible to visit the zipline tours, or Lares for ice cream, or head to Arecibo and the radio telescope. This is a great place for a homebase to explore the area. Get back before dark as the road, as mentioned, is...

This little slice of paradise cut out of the jungle forest is truly something special. Once you enter the gate, you're surrounded by cliff walls, wild flowers, birds, fruit trees, and all the other amazing things that are rare and exotic at home. Joan and Tony will greet you like family, giving you a tour, answering all your questions, sharing...

After a 2.5 week-long, eventful, action-packed, amazing honeymoon all over the Caribbean, my husband and I were a bit exhausted. On the way to TJ Ranch, I was about to have an emotional breakdown because of my over stimulated sensory organs reaction to the sheer beauty of yet another rain forest.... Once we arrived... utter tranquility and relaxation overcame my...

We were visiting our good friends who spend several months each winter in Puerto Rico so they are very familiar with restaurants in the area. Upon arriving at the Ranch, we were given a short tour. I was stunned by all the natural beauty, as well as the charm of the various cottages, and said to the owner, "You have...
