I rang Wendy the day before and booked 1 night after a long 12 hour day I arrived late, weary, tired and exhausted. As from the phone conversation Wendy was welcoming, pleasant, just what I needed after a hard day. I was shown to a very comfortable, warm room, tea and coffee, fresh milk. Biscuits, bowl of snacks including choccie...

I rang up the morning to book a room for that night and spoke to Wendy. She was very friendly and professional on the phone so I felt welcome before I'd even got there. The double room was lovely and had excellent facilities including tea and coffee and a hairdryer. It was immaculately clean as was the spacious bathroom which...

We were visiting Oxford, we wanted to stay somewhere outside the city itself, so we stayed two nights at this lovely B&B. Wendy and David were lovely and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely especially the homemade bread! The room was lovely and comfy, we had our own private bathroom - Shower and Air Bath (Jacuzzi). The house was clean and...

We were visiting Greys Court and Nuffield Place and needed to arrange a B & B with en suite not too far away at short notice. We saw the excllent trip advisor ratings and booked because of this. We fully concur with all positive comments. Wendy was very friendly, greeting us with a cup of tea on arrival and a...

We only stayed here for a night when we were canoeing down the Thames. In advance of our stay they made sure we knew here to book dinner and we were made to feel very welcome on arrival. They found us space in their garage to store our canoe, made sure we had a hot drink and the room was...

Having stayed away on business on many occasions my preference is for a small pub or B&B where I know the proprietor will be interested in looking after their guests. Wendy runs just such a B&B in a quiet location, close to Wallingford with it's choice of restaurants and then serves an excellent breakfast. Book early as she only has...

I have recently come back from a lovely 4 night stay. I was there as I was attending a training course at a local care home. The room I had was the twin with a small en suite shower room, The other room being a double with the bathroom next door. The selection of breakfast was good and the bread...

Wendy was a perfect host and recommended a great restaurant for dinner. The lovely room (and ensuite) contained all the little touches to make it a wonderful stay and there was a good choice of breakfast options.

Wendy and David were the kindest possible hosts. I enjoyed a beautifully decorated, cozy and clean room with a private bathroom. The area was very calm which ensured good nights of sleep. I can highly recommend Alouette B&B.

“Our room didn't have an ensuite, although the bathroom was just next door to the bedroom and was for our use only. I would probably still have preferred the other room which was ensuite so you might be better to request that on booking.”

“Both rooms are comfortable; the front en suite faces an unlit cul-de-sac; the rear a quiet garden.”
