Rustic stay but great standards and great food. Brilliant staff and the wider area provide a great place to explore . The pool has views to die for as do the rooms and we would. Certainly go back . Free parking on site is very handy and breakfast overlooking the valley is awesome

We live in Cape Town and stayed at Hog Hollow for three nights over Xmas. Our cabin number 10 was located very close to the main lodge and we could pick up the wi if which was a bonus, however the laundry / staff room / maintenance area was situated just behind and from early morning we could hear the...

Down an unprepossessing farm lane is this magical place. Overlooking a lush green valley, with monkeys in the trees there is an amazing hotel. Stay in small separate 2 storey houses with a balcony and eat and drink in the main building with a huge terrace, fire, and pool. We only had 1 night here but would have wanted to...

We spent two nights at Hogs Hollow in December and enjoyed our time looking out at the beauty of the surrounding forest from our beautiful suite. We walked through the forest to a local conservation project - witnessing a bird attacking a large snake in a tree - amazing! The rooms were very comfortable, the food was excellent and the...

Individual large chalets with big balconies overlooking a forested valley. Large communal balcony with sofas, chairs and tables where canapés are served from 6.30pm before dinner at 7.30pm. A hanging fire pit is lit which creates a soporific ambience - even in height of summer! Dinner and breakfast excellent. Comfortable pool area where a cheeky monkey or two pass by....

We stayed in bungalow No. 1 and ideally placed close to the main lodge but still very quiet. Breakfast was excellent, we enjoyed the buffet, fruit and eggs were all perfectly cooked. They ran out of decaf coffee one day but were very happy to use our own until fresh supplies arrived. The view from the patio breakfast is spectacular...

We expected a lot more of Hog Hollow. For example; if you compare the price of the rooms and the dinner with other lodges in the area, Hog Hollow is quite expensive. The rooms are good, nothing fancy, just good. We were not very enthousiastic about dinner. The meals are simple and not very tasty. If you charge what they...

It is hard to put in to words how lovely this place is. We adored it. The view from our terrace was breath taking. The food was lovely and sittibg round the fire in the even was one of the nicest things we both had ever done. Loved it and can't wait to to come again.

I can hardly praise this place highly enough. Everything about it just oozes class. So friendly, so luxurious. The accommodation was just brilliant, with a balcony to enjoy the incredible, uncluttered jungle scenery. Food out of this world. Would go back if we're ever that way again.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the views of the mountians and forest are great. From your deck you feel like you are part of the landscape. We visited in July of 2016. It was a record breaking cold snap and our room was quite chilly. We had a fire in the fire place every night. It was a great location...
