Overall, I won't come here again because of the hardware. I had good recommendations from my friends who visited here before COVID, therefore I picked this as my quarantine hotel. However, this seems stripped down a lot and disappointed me. There is construction site view for the studio bathroom. Hotel claimed that there are only one room in a floor that with this bathtub room type, therefore there are no other rooms can change. As you can see, actually I turned on all lights already but still looks dark, even in the room. There are lots of mosquitoes in the toilet, which has no windows. Already pouring bleaches into drainage as suggested by hotel, however still a lot which don't know where mosquitoes come from. This is the picture after spraying mosquitoes killer every day morning. The pillow cover is stinky. You can smell that the pillow cover had been used for long. They should be using laundry detergent normal washing only, without bleaching or hot water cleaning. Having said that, the service is excellent and quick response. They have a Line account that I can quickly reach out them.…
I am having a great stay here. Here were the key points for me: 1. Window that opens. I don't have a room with a balcony but they have them. 2. Hardwood floors rather than carpet. I feel like it is cleaner that way. 3. Strong wifi. 4. Good water pressure in the shower. 5. Good food! For me, it's yummy, and includes veggies and fruits. 6. Comfortable bed. 7. Enough space that I even have room to exercise. 8. All the amenities I need and none of the unnecessary frills. 9. Staff is super responsive via LINE and I am an English speaker. I am super comfortable and know I am going to very happy during my 15 days here.
I finished the 14 day mandatory quarantine and I did not want to leave 🤣 I feel so grateful to choose Home Hotel Da-an as my quarantine hotel. The room is minimalist elegance. Everything was handled efficiently and empathically, from booking thru email to travel to the actual stay as well as checkout. Everyone was courteous, helpful and accommodating. I was very impressed and felt very well looked after. For catering, there’re three meals a day, breakfast lunch and dinner, as well as unlimited bottled water. The hotel serves different meals everyday. Not a single meal is repetitive. The food is very appetizing, good portion and nutritional balance. The meals are really tasty that I don’t even have a chance to order UberEat. They definitely put some effort at designing and prepping meals for their guests.…
This is my third time staying here in quarantine. The one and only reason for this choice is the balcony as I am in need of the possibility to sit outside. I agree very much with the previous review where the bed and double glasses etc is a benefit. However now knowing what other hotels offer for the price of a stay I must say this isn't worth it. Room is pretty stripped and the chair in the room and on the balcony are absolutely terrible to sit on. It is a hotel where there is no choice in cuisine and the food served is far beyond intercontinental food. Being European I am not picky but in all honesty I throw 90% of it in the bucket. On top of it they do not even have coffee to your room. Thefood issue I know have been brought to the management attention several times, however its chosen to be ignored. Staff is friendly and room is clean. Staying here as a normal guest is probably nice, if at quarantine and balcony isn't a must; avoid it at all cost.…
This is my review of Home Hotel as a quarantine hotel. I wanted to stay at this hotel because their Marvelous rooms have balconies, and that was an important amenity to me. I opted for their airport transfer (1400NT), which was seamless. I was driven to the garage where a staff member sprayed me down and gave me direction to my room with minimal contact. The room itself is large with a separate WC, very small kitchenette area and a roomy balcony through the bathroom. The bed was huge and could have fit 3 of me. The room is stripped down, not as shown in the photos on the website. They have removed anything extra that could be contaminated, should as throw pillows, the side chair and bed skirt. Luckily I have family in the city and they could bring me things such as throw pillows. I spent a lot of time enjoying the chair on the balcony, but without pillows I could not have sat on it for more than 20 minutes. These rooms overlook a very busy street, but because there are 2 layers of glass with the bathroom between the room and the balcony, they serve to silence the noise quite a bit. The staff communicates with you via Line. I was able to download and use it on my US phone using the mobile # of a Taiwan phone. They were very quick to respond to any questions or requests. I had many issues connecting wirelessly to the TV to stream video, and they sent me many instructions and videos to try to help. I requested several bottles of wine and they were able to locate a store for me where I selected what I wanted. The bottles were quickly delivered to me with a 20% service charge. Generally whenever I had a delivery, it was sent right up to me. 5 stars for their service in this regard. On to the food, which is why I gave them 4 stars. I believe they use their in-house kitchen for 90% of the meals. The food was not good and very repetitive, although I have dietary restrictions. I have heard second-hand that an omnivore also didn't enjoy the meals here. I think I was served cabbage and eggs every day, lunch and dinner consist of a bento box with a container of soup and fruit. I got outside meals 2x during my stay and ordered delivery for myself 3x when the meal was just too bad. If they upped their food, they would be a solid 5 stars. Note - no laundry or cleaning services available for quarantine rooms.…
I stay at another place in Taipei but the organization I was working with offered me this hotel to stay in for 3 nights and I accepted it. With the knowledge I have now, that was a good decision. I liked the atmosphere of the hotel, both the entrance, the lobby and my hotel room were all a-typical compared to the hotels I usually stay. However, it was a very pleasant stay. The room was clean and I had a cool view from my shower. However, the food on the room service menu was a bit disappointing - there was not too much to choose from. The breakfast buffet was amazing.
Well, where shall i start? Frm check in till check out, this is one of the few flawless hotel u can find. Strategic location.. 3mins walk to the nearest MRT station. An exceptional service frm the front desk up to housekeeping. Staff are very attentive, fast react in their service, catered to our needs well. Room is incredibly comfortable, very clean & spacious. Kudos to Mr Chris & team, for the great service & to the housekeeping staff especially Ms Miyan (forgive me if i got it wrong) for the excellent job at keeping our rooms clean & complete at all times. She's a keeper! Home Hotel DaAn really lives up to its name. Definately will return!!
Boutique hotels like Home Hotel Da'an are the best as they offer facilities and intimacy at the same time. I stayed here for 3 nights and the staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms are spacious and stylish, without having to walk far from each elevator. The gym was well-equipped with machines and light weights. I love the common room for reading and gathering.
They claimed they'd won the Michelin awards for 2018-2019 but I don't know what category of Michelin awards they won at. Other than located at a nice location with minutes walking to restaurants, MRT stations & Sogo (a huge shopping centre 10 mins away) there is nothing much. The room is renovate and built according to some unknown designer, the switch that control the lights are not working, some of the power socket does not work as well. Originally booked their deluxe original bedroom with free mini bar everyday but only the first day was furnish, no more water was provided on the second to forth day. Breakfast is charging at NT550.00 per person with limited choice of food, most food are served in cold. Asked for an egg omelette but was told need to add more money to top up the breakfast fees. The hotel does not have a business center & gym even though in room wifi is free. So seriously, I have no idea why is that they claimed themselves as they won the awards on what basis? Never return.…
I read the comments and decided to give it a try. Location is safe and convenient. Room is nice. However, the lobby is not very user friendly. I don't think they want people to wait around in the lobby. There are no proper chairs at all. But the need is there. They are promoting their Italian restaurant. I expected the breakfast in that restaurant would not be bad at all. However, I was very disappointed! They have good variety but the food is not hot and sandwiches and buns are hard. What a waste!
