Large spacious room, comfortable, clean. Buffet style breakfast (no vegetables or white cheeses), different types of rice and different types of meat, cereals and yogurt. Nice, kind and willing people to lend a helping hand.
This is a clean, comfortable boutique hotel located on a quiet street in a central area of Taipei, convenient to all major sites. Great buffet breakfast, helpful staff. Currency exchange is available. Excellent value.
a nice small hotel with big bedroom and seperate bathtub and shower, digital toilet and city location, so so breakfast, friendly staff.. just need fix the iron, it's not working properly, the water leaks and very fast turning off by itself.. the rest of experience is good, thanks
Very impressed with this place. My room was new, modern, stylish, fresh and spotlessly clean. The bed (big enough for three people, actually two beds pushed together) was very comfortable with several pillows of varying softness. Lighting was well thought out and tasteful and controls were straightforward. The air conditioning kept the room at a perfect sleeping temperature — around 20°. Wifi worked well. Two complimentary bottles of water are provided daily. The bathroom was well designed and very clean. There was plenty of pressure in the shower and temperature was easy to control. Breakfast was a good spread, plenty of variety. An omelette station would have been nice, but the bacon and pre-prepared eggs were fine. Plenty of fresh fruit and cereals, along with Chinese alternatives, of course. Indeed it was a challenge to find any negatives. I could manage only two. There were no face washers, so I resorted to using a hand towel. At 6:30 am I consulted the folder to ascertain what time breakfast started, but the best I could find was half a page of marketing spiel, such as 'Bright, crisp, white table tops with complimentary [sic] multi-colour dining chairs.' Really? When I romped up at 6:30 I discovered it didn't start till 7. Yes, these are very trivial issues, and overall this hotel was one of the best I've used. Well recommended.…
Good location in Da'an district, quiet area next to police station, very convenient to different MRT stations within 10mins walk. Hotel staff are friendly & helpful, assist to make restaurant reservations. Rooms are spacious, spotless clean with comfy beddings, toiletries and slippers are also available, we reserved 2 different types of room for family trip, superior or deluxe rooms are recommended for families with elderly, room size even bigger with twin beds in queen size, additional cost for extra guest with breakfast. Daily buffet breakfast served upto 10:00am only, better go earlier if you want to enjoy the breakfast...not much left or refill after 9:30am, standard food quality but don't expect too much, or may let you down.
Stayed for a couple of nights on business, room was large and clean with a great shower. Location of the hotel was good with easy access to the metro in under a five minute walk. Breakfast selection was ok but they could definitely use a few more western options and better coffee.
Our family of 3 stayed in Sonnien hotel for 7 nights. We are currently staying in another supposed to be fancier hotel but it turns out the new hotel is a blah and my 3 and half year old son kept asking to go back to stay in Sonnien. Staff are attentive, not overly friendly, the attitudes are just right. We feel welcomed every time we stepped into the hotel. The room itself is spacious and clean, even tho the carpet looks a little bit dated but it still feels clean. Breakfast spread is not too elaborated but has enough choices. Everything is fresh and delicious. However the breakfast choices from day to day doesn’t have much variations, so after 3 days we were already tired of the breakfast buffet. Still, for what we paid for we get more than what we asked for. They give you two bottles of water and 3 littles boxed juices a day. Kudos to all the stuff and especially the house cleaning team, I am such a freak when it comes to cleanliness, and you did a superb job. Sonnien maybe a smaller hotel in size but they do a much better job then most of the 4 stars + hotel we’ve stayed. We will come back again for sure. …
It is my second time staying in this hotel. It is actually better than last time. Couple of things have been improved. Like the front desk staff are more professional and friendly. The hotel is well located, within walking distance to the subway. And the surrounding area has lots of trees and quiet. Highly recommend!
It is a nice and cozy hotel near the beautiful ran-I road. The room is very big and comfortable. Breakfast is simple and fresh. The breakfast has salad everyday. Simple but fresh and I like it!. Receptionists were nice and friendly. They always smile and say hello every moment I walk back from outside and try to open the door for me. I really enjoyed my stay.
This hotel is out of the busy tourist neighborhoods but is within walking distance (15 minutes) from such favorites as the original Ding Tai Feng dumplings and Yong Kang area. It is also a very short walk to the subway station and bus stops. The rooms are big and well equipped. There is a small breakfast area where one can have a peaceful breakfast without the hustle - bustle of dealing with large crowds and tour groups. Will definitely stay again...
