Will come again next time, stay for a while, take a good tour. In the process of traveling, it is very important to find a hotel where you can rest quietly, because it consumes a lot of physical energy during the day and needs to replenish the energy at night, so you can visit and study more the next day. The supporting facilities around the hotel are also very important. This depends on the location, but also on the design and service of the hotel.

Centrality located, subway very close by (just across the street). Your first meet at the door by a door person, then meet by a person who watched our bags and eventually had them brought our bags to our room after we checked in. The check in desk was on a higher floor away from the busy lobby. After checking in and going to the room our bags were promptly brought to our room. I was amazed at the spaciousness of the room. I have stayed at the Waldorf in NYC and the room I had was nowhere close to being as big. The bathroom was big with a full set of toiletry. I can't say how much I appreciated the hot water in the shower, since we had just arrived from HK where the shower was right above the toilet Overall it was a pleasure to have stayed at this hotel. Would stay here again.

This was the first time I stay in this hotel, but I've been there many times. The hotel is old but clean, and the best part of it is the location. It is located in the center of Dongqu, or the eastern district, so it's very easy to get around the city, and the metro station is only steps away. Lots of nice restaurants, shops and even a famous night club are around. The staff is friendly and helpful. I stayed in the room and smelled cigarettes, so I called the front desk and ask for a change. They immediately responded to my request and send a staff to take me to another room. Overall, I'm very pleased with the experience, and would recommend this hotel.

Hotel location is not bad, with quite a number of eateries surrounding. Room wise, pretty much rundown for the price paid. It is spacious. The door seriously needed a fix - dragging sound between door and floor/carpet. Sofa needs to be replaced. Very worn out. Aircon cannot be adjusted either high or Low, switched off, the room remain damn cold. No extra pillow or blanket in the wardrobe. Found ‘bathroom’ insects, in the toilet and room. Quite disturbing.

Bed is big and comfortable, staff is friendly, but the hotel definitely needs refurbishment. The rate was good for what I got. However they need to move up, since the offer of good hotels in Taipei is quite big.

From the main street the hotel isn't very impressive looking, apart from the display of string lights which catches the eye when out for a stroll in the evening. The main lobby is located on the 4th floor with a large buddha looking statue which I was told represents the BOSS of the hotel. Good sense of humour from the reception desk staff. The breakfast / restaurant is located on the 1st floor and very well presented. As far as breakfast goes, the catering buffet style was more Asian than for Europeans. The staff were very curteous and friendy, but their inability to speak English was sadly lacking. In spite of the language barrier we could not fault the staff at every level. Yes, we (my wife and I) would certainly recommend this hotel to those wishing to holiday or brief interlude in Taipei.

Because they have their own building of hotel, unlike other hotels in taipei which share building with shopping or office mall. The price itself is not cheap As for the rooms, is almost going back to the 80s where TV is not even modernised. The hotel amenties are more like chinese 80. for those with elderly, they should be able to accept it because most the staffs are very friendly. As for breakfast- they served acceptable cuisines. Old hotels with good location but I found yet another hotel just behind them last week which is Greenworld. Modern and new and bathtub with TV!

Very comfortable stay The hotel reception is located at the 4th floor. The breakfast spread at lobby restaurant is quite decent. The room is clean and I find the bed soft and comfortable. It is value for money. It is also within walking distant to the MRT station, shops and restaurants. Free wifi. I would not mind coming back to this hotel again if I’m in Taiwan.

This hotel is situated in a great location in Taipei. The staff were pretty nice. However, the entire hotel needs some renovation - the decor is extremely old and my room smelled at times. I booked this hotel because it said it had a gym but found the gym to be very disappointing - if this is one of the criteria for you to book a hotel, please look somewhere else. I would recommend this hotel for someone who wants to stay in a good location and does not care too much about the facilities.

I stayed here on the advice of a friend who lived in this hotel for 6 months. The rooms are very spacious and ours came with a couch and a bathtub too. Room was looking a bit dated in terms of decor, but the space, Wifi, couch, location etc more than made up for this. Staff were pleasant, and no waiting around to check-in on arrival. We arrived a bit too early at about 11am and they very kindly allowed us early check-in at no extra charge. The best part about his hotel is the Location. Lots to do and eat within walking distance and there is a MRT station about 15 Meters from the hotel entrance. Very useful. Only negative comment was that there was some guests in the room opposite and they were very noisy until very late at night.
