Pro: The HD Palace Suite was pretty nice, yet outdated, but why throw away things that still work. Bathroom looked great with an amazing view of the 101 Building, same in the living area. Housekeeping was amazing and very quick if you needed anything! The beds and especially the pillows were very comfortable and provided a restful night :) Contra: For me, one of the most important things in a bathroom, especially one with a nice view, is the bathtub. And for a so called "Palace Suite" the tub was way too small!!! It might be an asian standard size as I was told by the staff but I could barely fit in there myself with a hight of 183cm let alone with my girlfriend. What also disappointed me was the breakfast. It wasn't very good, but to be fair, this seems to be a problem that many 4 star hotels have in Taipei.…

We stayed at this hotel on a recent visit to Taipei. It has a good location in the Da'an area of Taipei. It is very close to a good night market, close to subway and transit. The hotel itself is rather tired and in need of an update: old dark furniture, torn, patched wallpaper, ancient televisions. The bathrooms are new and nicely appointed and beds are comfortable. The staff at the HD Palace are sweet and try hard to make you comfortable.

The hotel is located near the subway and bus routes. It's not centrally located, but has easy assess to mass transit. Also, there's a FamilyMart across the street if you need late night snacks. The hotel staff were friendly and helped me book a cab to the hotel. The hotel itself is a little dated, but serves its purpose. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.

The location is good, the room is clean and Air condition is available. it is a comfortable bed. Good breakfast with lots of stuff to choose from. Close to forest park witch I really recommend a visit to. We had a view of Taipei 101 from our bath tub.

This hotel is a bit out of the hustle and bustle of Taipei which is just what we wanted. It is however very close to a great night market and the metro line. The staff is nice, polite , helpful and as a bonus English is spoken. The rooms are larger than the average Taipei hotel and quite clear with a comfy bed. If we find ourselves in Taipei we will book again.

Great staff. Conveniently located. Quality amenities. Great breakfast. The suite room had excellent views as well. The room service was great, our room was always made exceptionally clean. The staff even provided a wine bottle opener. Me and my Sunshine had a blast.

This hotel is in a great location to where my friend's mother lives while she is in Taiwan for an extended stay. The rooms were a bit small but I don't think that is unusual in Asian countries. The nightly rate was reasonable and much cheaper than the Far East Hotel, which is within walking distance. The hotel's daily rate includes a daily, expansive breakfast that included traditional congree, steamed buns, American entrees, salad, fresh fruit, dessert (yes, dessert in the morning!), and a cappuccino and espresso coffee maker. The dishes varied each day so I was always eager to go down to breakfast. In actuality their breakfast should have been a daily brunch! Yum! Would definitely stay here again!

Had a very enjoyable stay here at this hotel. Was very easy to find and in a great location close to many stores and metro. Staff were great and even offered a free upgrade. The room was big with a nice king bed. Shower and separate huge bathtub. The breakfast had a nice variety and was very tasty.

Good location, average service, the front desk lady service attitude is particularly unfriendly, cleaning ladies are very nice. Probably won’t stay again. Breakfast is average. AC in the room is too cold when turning on. Lobby Terrance is nice though.

Great service with good environment, could be better if more choice for the breakfast buffet. And free to extend the check out time is great too. All staff here are very nice and helpful. If you want to enjoy a nice trip, here would be a good choice. You can have lots of choice of restaurant nearby. Lots of Japanese restaurants close to the hotel and taste very nice.
