The rooms are smple but clean, the quality of the food is good, the staff is very friendly. This hotel is situated in a very quiet area, near a little river, hills and woods. You can make a walk to a beautiful castle. There are a lot of vintners and everywhere you see the grape plants on the hills. If... More

My wife and I had just gotten off the trail from Burg Eltz and thought we'd stop in at the cafe/hotel at the beginning of the trail to Burg Eltz to get some food in us because the food places at the castle were all full and the mountain was crawling with people. We grabbed a seat near the door... More

We booked a room in this hotel in July and received a confirmation letter complete with reservation number. We wrote them an email the day before our arrival just to confirm that we would be arriving the next day. We received a very curt note back saying we did not have a reservation and that the hotel was full. No... More

We stopped here to have lunch before hitting the trail up to Berg Eltz. The server was very friendly and helpful. They didn't speak a lot of English, but we were able to order our meal ok and they smiled each time they walked past. Nice sunny day, ice cold bear, breeze through the trees and anticipation of the castle.... More

This was an Xmas markets trip with phoenix travel. The only meals we had were the breakfast as we ate out each day. No problems with the breakfast (not the best but not the worst). Hotel approx 1 and half miles to train station or any form of transport (no taxi in village, so not easy for the elderly to... More

Stayed at this hotel 4 days with dinner included. We live in five star hotels so expectations were low when we made the booking. It was a pleasant surprise to find the rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was acceptable. Dinner was a bit disappointing, soup for starter and pork for main were served for all the three nights we were... More

We have just returned from 3 nights at this lovely hotel .It is the best hotel we have stayed in since visiting the Christmas markets over the past four years. The large rooms were clean, warm and very comfortable and the a la carte menu was very reasonable and delicious. The staff were very helpful taking time to translate the... More
