It was pathetic place, one could not stay. Shows something in photos in websites and it just pathetic in reality. Rotten water in the washroom. In a nut shell it was so depressing to be in the Hotel. You can look at the pictures attached to it.
I visited the hotel on 17 th june and hotel booking was done by Yatra.com. We were two couples with two small kids. We reached the hotel at around 2:30 pm and the hotel staff told us that room is not ready despite check in time being 1:00 pm. They said room will be ready by 4:00 only. I had traveled 6 hours by car to reach Dharamshala and this behaviour of the reception staff made me angry. I even talked to Yatra Customer care but they just kept on saying sorry and said we cannot do anything. So this is the way Yatra people behave if u do booking from them. I would advise you never book from Yatra again. Apart the receptionist Ms Chandni talked to Yatra and told them that we were lying and the hotel had no fault and Yatra people believed her. So we finally got the rooms at around 4 pm but to my utter surprise the rooms were not luxury rooms that we had booked but some lower category rooms. I was extremely disappointed and frustrated. In one room toilet seat was broken. We asked for refund but both Yatra and hotel refused the refund. Such is the condition of Yatra.com. They have no control over hotels and just cheat people. People please never book from Yatra.com Only positive in the hotel was operational manager Mr Nagender. He was constantly apologetic for the behaviour of his staff and also arranged for our breakfast next day without any charge. He is a good man there. Mr Raghav was also good So in all if u want to visit the hotel, get a free cancellation booking and pay after seeing the hotel only. Also never book from Yatra.com, they are big cheats and fool people…
Worst hotel in the area, the uneducated staff doesn't have etiquettes. The staff doesn't listen to simple requests. The area is good but the behaviour of everyone in the hotel, especially the manager make it the worst hotel. If you want to shame yourself then do stay here.
I wonder how the Gentleman, (don't recall his name, and I think he was earlier in Merchant Navy), took a bold and risky challenge to build this place - it is far, faar, away from anywhere !! Actually, not very far from Dharamshala, the location is great - on the hills and in the Woods. Rooms, Bar, Restaurant, Banquet Hall and to top it all, a gym and a swimming pool. We were there for a short, quick bite and a beer - all was good.
It was an amazing stay! Hospitality of the staff was commendable and very impressive. I would love to visit the place again, with my friends and family. The room view was also amazing. Room service was quick and generous.
