We stayed here for 6 nights. I can say that it was amazing and good choice to stay. *Location : near mrt ximen station and NTU Very accessible *clean and cozy. *Super comfy bed (+factor! ) after a long tiring day exploring Taipei having a comfy bed to rest is a must! *has common place to stay and meet new friends. *Staffs was very accommodating * (+ factor): you can leave your luggage "before check in" time when you arrive earlier and continue to explore Taipei. Same with "after check out" for free 😍😍😍 *common area ,pantry(with free water , with microwave and utensils ) * i also misplaced my jacket somewhere, so i asked the staff if they've seen it. to my surprise they've found it :) yay ! thanks sleepbox!
Stayed here for 3Nights. Walking distance to Ximen Station. 5-minutes from Family Mart, ATM & restaurants. Shampoo & bath gel are free & the rest of the amenities comes with minimal charges. There's additional fees for guests checking in after 12midnight. I suggest you inform the hotel of your ETA if past midnight. Front desk agents are efficient , friendly and accommodating. 😊 We had a comfortable stay!
Was pleasantly surprised for this hostel. Looks a little older on the outside but was clean and simple inside. We stayed in a mix dorm with capsules and the capsules were so cozy, cool, and comfortable! I would recommend better storage for larger bags and maybe better locks for the capsules. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked.
Pros: Clean room and Bathroom, Has hot and cold shower, Free water for drinking in the pantry and eating utensils can be used as long as you will clean and wash them after. Air-conditioned rooms. Cheap room rates. Hotel is just a walking distance from the Tour Bus pick up point and Ximen Night Market. Also 10-15 minutes walk from Taipei Main Station and Airport MRT. Starbucks is just a few walks from the hotel in case you are a Starbucks lover. A lot of convinience store nearby so you won't get hungry. Cons: Bed size is for average size people, not for tall ones, Not much of a sound proof so you will have a problem in sleeping if you are a sensitive type. I used to wear ear plugs to not here the people outside and foot steps from upper floors.
Our first time to stay in a hostel, but the rooms & facilities were better than expected...staff were polite & helpful, allowing us to leave our luggage because early check-in & late check-out were not available at that time...near a shopping district, food & souvenir stores, & a train station
Great location and is also accessible to alot of must visit spots. It is affordable compared to other hostels and staff are very much accommodating. The bathrooms are well maintained too. Will surely stay here again when I get back.
BEWARE: BEDBUGS ALERT! You get what you pay for. Affordable dorm style rooms, but beds are full of bugs. Came home with lot of bedbugs bite all over my legs and feet. Rooms are really small and with not much space to move around. Common areas include waiting area by the desk, living room, toilet and shower rooms and luggage area. Btw, 3 of the 4 shower heads in the common area are leaking. Floor tiles are dirty so better bring your own rubber slippers. By past 2 or 3am, guests are left with no receptionist or guard till 8am. So, should you need to leave at that time, you have to help yourself. I don't recommend staying in this place. I would suggest you go somewhere else if you want safer and cleaner rooms. Better to pay a little bit more than be here. Pictures are quite deceiving too! If you have budget, go somewhere else!!! …
The staff were friendly and helpful, but the place looks a bit old and needs maintenance. There is one bathroom to share with the entire floor but it is wet until 4pm. The layouts didn't make sense as opening the door will block the narrow, 50 cm wide road that allows you to walk into the corner unit (they should definitely switch to a sliding door). The capsules themselves were "okay" but moving around seem to cause noise that affect all your neighbors, so you better be a deep sleeper and hope your neighbors don't toss around so much. Luggage storage space was non-existent and you're asked to put stuff in the hallway, which is pretty sketchy but fortunately it is safe for short stays. I've been at capsule hotels in Japan and they were far better despite being in the same class. This looks like someone bought a buncha capsules but didn't know how to operate a hotel. For all that is bad, I did sleep pretty well but wouldn't recommend it to others.…
Good morning, i really recommend SleepBox Hostel. It is a Hostel really well placed in Tapei, really not far from Ximsui, the connected center of Taipei. The Hostel is really new and really clean too, it is safe although. The office is really nice, they are there all the day and give you help and advices.
Around 10min walk to ximen station. Just turn left once you exit, walk all the way straight and you'll reach the mrt station. Unable to check in when reached at 3pm. The check-in time is strictly at 4pm. So we left our luggages and the kind receptionist offered to help push our luggages into the room while we left to shop till night. However, when we came back from shopping, the room was not shut properly. Anyone can just go in the room! The room is EXTREMELY SMALL. I have stayed in better hostel than this. Gosh! Once you open your luggages, there is no room to walk and cannot even open the room door. That's how small the room is. Walked in with no tv remote and only 2 towels when we have 3pax, so we asked for it and they keep wondering why the room don't have. There is no dustbin, no fridge, no safe box, no place to hang clothes, slow internet connection, and worst thing is, NO TISSUE!!!! I just stand in the room and laughed. How can it be so ridiculous?! Asked if the room have a dustbin, they said no and gave me a plastic bag to throw things. Joke of the day. However when I went back in the room, noticed a bin next to the toilet bowl. The toilet and shower is just a small area. And cannot lock the door. There is no shelves to put your shampoo or soap, have to place it on top of the toilet bowl. No proper mirror. Only a small sink and an adjustable mirror. Lucky they have hair dryer. Easy check out if leaving at midnight; just leave the room card at the reception. Overall, it was a nightmare. …
