Our room was of the "Family Suite" type with two separate rooms (about 50 sqm). The room had all the modern amenities you could wish for. The room was well planned and the kitchen had everything you needed. I love that there was also a combined washer / dryer in the room. We visited Taiwan when the Corona virus was active in Asia. This was noticed everywhere and also at the hotel which had a very high focus on hygiene and cleanliness. On the other side of the street there was a grocery store as well as a 7-Eleven along with the hotel. The nearest metro station was "Zhongshan Elementary School Station" (3 min walk) on the Orange line or "Minquan W. Rd. Station" (10 min walk) on the red line. The breakfast had a bit of each and it varied a bit from day to day. Not a huge selection, but I was very pleased. The best thing about the breakfast was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Must also mention that the staff are very service conscious and friendly. If I ever visit Taipei in the future then this hotel will likely be my choice during my stay.…
The hotel has just been built for over a year, so everything was still fairly new. We (family of three adults) stayed comfortably in the two-bedroom unit. The single room and bathroom (very rare to find in hotels) have windows even though it was facing a wall. If we had to give constructive feedback it would be the housekeeper forgot to top up the sugar and some of the bathroom toiletries. Also it was the small kitchenette and there was utensils for two people rather than three. We loved having the washer/dryer being in our room (on the balcony). At first, we struggled to use the machine because everything is in Mandarin. We had to ask the staff for help. We then discovered some basic instructions in English and other languages hanging above the machine The hotel is on the corner, so it was easy to find and easy to locate if you were lost. The closest MRT is the orange line MRT, Zhongshan Elementary School stop, this is a five-minute walk from the hotel. There are several convenience stores within 50meters. We bought the Easycard and top ups at the 7-11 across the road. There are lots of eateries close by including the Shuangcheng St Night Market. Whilst this is a small night market, it still sells a good variety of food and drinks. The breakfast selection was not as large as the bigger hotels. Most of the food did change daily. The menu is catered for both Western and Asian guests. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. The staff made us freshly squeezed orange juice for most of our stay. Not all the staff could speak English fluently. Those that were fluent were very helpful and for those that weren’t tried very hard to help us. We got a late check out and we could wait in the café before our transfer arrived. The staff took our bags to the car and was insistent that they did it themselves. Thank you Roy! On our last day the drainage in our shower was blocked and staff asked us if we wanted to change rooms. We declined the offer because we were leaving within a couple of hours.…
Spacious room with a kitchenette and a washing machine which is handy after travelling for 10 days! The front desk staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Healthy breakfast with fresh fruits and two self service juicers for orange juice and apple/carrot juice. Three minutes walk to subway and lots of restaurants and local night market foodstalls round the corner.
I would have given Jolley Hotel six stars if I could! We booked a Deluxe King direct from the hotel website. We were in Taiwan to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were only in Taipei for two out of ten nights - nevertheless the front desk made a point to give us a 12th floor room (in a 13-storey building) with a great city view (Grand Hotel in the distance), and put a slice of cheesecake from Starbucks in the fridge for us, along with a hand-drawn Happy Anniversary card on the coffee table! The room itself was spotlessly clean, spacious, with a desk, and a comfortable sofa facing a large flat-screen TV. We didn't need to use it but the kitchenette is stocked with cutlery, crockery, basic pots and pans and a microwave. The bathroom boasts a fancy commode, a fantastic shower and all the toiletries you could need. Bathrobes, room slippers, an iron/ ironing board and open wardrobe complete the thoughtful touches. Besides the usual laundry service available for a fee, guests could also use the self-service washer and dryer on level 2 free of charge – tremendous! Breakfast was buffet style, with something for every palate: boxed cereal and yoghurt/milk; western-style sausages, eggs, toast and bacon; Taiwanese porridge with all the condiments; a fruit and salad bar; two juicers; a coffee machine; hot water for various types of tea. Delicious and fabulous. Finally I would like to compliment the staff: from checking in/out to breakfast to room cleaning, everything was done meticulously and with a smile, anticipating our every need before we even asked. As for location, Jolley Hotel is a short walk from the Zhongshan Elementary School MRT station on the orange line. We got everywhere we wanted to by MRT with no hassle. There is even a transfer to the airport, and directions are included in the hotel information folder in every room.…
Booked a Deluxe Twin room via Agoda. It’s an apartment type of room so there’s a small kitchen (electric stove, plates, utensils, microwave oven, refrigerator), a living room, a small work desk, a small balcony (can’t smoke in it though, there’s a smoking area on the 2nd floor) and even an iron and ironing board. Room was huge compared to other ones of the same price range. Water, coffee, tea, soda and other snacks in the room were all complimentary. We were told that the hotel was not even a year old, so everything’s still pretty nice and new. Breakfast buffet was simple but great. Changes a bit everyday. Also in the breakfast area, after breakfast hours, they provide free snacks and drinks for guests the whole day. Location was great too. There are convenience stores, restaurants, a grocery store and a small night market nearby. Most of the stores close earlier at night though, compared to other areas like Ximending, but we didn’t mind. It was easy to hail a cab or book an Uber. The nearest train station is probably just a 4-minute walk away. The service and staff were what I liked the best. Housekeeping always did a great job cleaning up our rooms. Main front desk guys speak english really well. They were so thoughtful and friendly every time. We were allowed to check-in early. They even gave my mom a birthday card and a birthday cake. So really, kudos to the management. We had a great stay. …
We stayed here for a couple of nights in a two bedroom suite with a living room, kitchen (microwave and fridge), bathroom with a tub and two separate bedrooms (one king sized bed in one and a twin in the other). Service was great, the rooms had new furniture and breakfast was included. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the closest metro station, There is a small night market just 2 minutes from the hotel. Overall, an excellent choice of hotels and reasonably priced.
I stayed three nights here and had a great experience. My room was a small apartment with a small kitchen and great wifi. Very quiet and immaculate. The staff were really helpful and kind, including the housecleaning staff who was always so friendly. The TV has CNN, which I have only had in two other hotels in 4 months of travel in Asia. The location is within walking distance to the Fine Arts Museum, a small night market and the metro. It's right in the middle of one of Taiwan's typical commercial districts.
This hotel was newly opened in 2018 so everything was still in good condition. My room was equipped with a small kitchen with a microview oven and a water kettle. Although a stove was included, pots and cooking equipment were provided only by request. Free drinks and snacks were included, and the room was generally quite clean. But the hotel only provided hypoallergenic pillows, not the whole bedding. So, people have serious allergic issues should think about it. The hotel was very close to everything, two local supermarkets and a 7-11 were just acoss the road, and a Starbuck was just located at ground floor. 2nd floor of the hotel was a little cafe where breakfast serves every morning, and the cafe was indeed a common area with simple snack and drink for all guests od the hotel till around 10 pm. MRT station was just 3-4 mins of walking distance and along the way, you would see a lot of local restaurants. All in all, this was a very nice hotel.…
The room is new, tidy and spacious. My little daughter can play around at the spacious living room. They provide baby cot and baby bathtub at room and high chair at the cafe. Their service is excellent. All staff members are friendly and very helpful. On the second day, when I returned to hotel at evening, the toilet was flooded with dirty drain water. I called the front desk and they immediately handled the situation by arranging another room for us and helping us to move our baggage and other personal belongings to the new room. They upgraded our room as compensation. The location is very convenient. It's near the metro station. There are supermarkets, coffee shops, 24/7 convenient stores, restaurants and a night market around the hotel within walking distance. It's definitely my best stay at Taipei.…
We were so happy to stay at Jolley for few nights. We are party of 8, stayed at two rooms. One is normal twin bedroom and the other one is 2 bedrooms suite. As it was a family trip so we could eat and chit chat at the sitting room together. Space is enough for the kids to run around, especially the cute stairs that they like it so much. Staffs are superrrrrrrr nice. Hotel room is big with sitting room, a simple kitchen and balcony. The breakfast is good too. Location is soooooo convenient, just 5mins walk from/to train station. Restaurants, supermarket, coffee shop, convenient store are near the hotel. Me and my family like Jolley very much and I am sure we would stay there again.
